ZTR Flow EX Wheelset - 29in

Stan’s NoTubes knows that a big bike requires a wheelset that can keep up. With its new ZTR Flow EX Wheelset, Stan’s NoTubes offers a tough and fast rolling pair of hoops that will have you and your 29er riding strong.

As the stoutest rim in the NoTubes line, the new Flow EX is wider and features the new and improved Stan’s NoTubes’ Bead Socket Technology for better tire-to-rim seal. The new Flow EX offers 14% thicker sidewalls, which provide a boost to rigidity and dent-resistance. Also, with a 33% thicker spoke bed, the new Flow EX practically eliminates spoke pull-through. Like the previous version of Flow EX, Stan's NoTubes uses 6061 aluminum and it is drilled for 32 spokes with no eyelets.

Stan’s NoTubes made the new Flow EX wider and tougher by stretching the outside width of the rim to 29.1mm and the interior width to 25.5mm. This improves the tire volume and roundness, allows for an even tighter rim-to-tire seal, and also gives the tire greater traction due to the enhanced contact with the ground. Stan’s has also reshaped the internal arch to add more stiffness to the rim’s structure.

The Flow EXs are laced with 2.0/1.7/2.0 butted steel spokes and alloy nipples. The new EXs use Stan’s 3.30 HD hubset, which feature smooth-spinning cartridge bearings that ride on light 7075 alloy axles. The rear and front hub feature large, 58mm flanges. The drive side houses a sturdy 30-point engagement ring, while the non-drive side is machined to save weight. The aluminum freehub is compatible with Shimano and SRAM cassettes, and the SRAM XD 1X freehub body can be purchased separately.

The front hub comes with a 20mm axle and the rear is set-up for a 12x142mm thru-axle. End caps are included to convert the front to a 15mm thru-axle or the rear to a standard quick-release. The Stan's NoTubes ZTR Flow EX 29-Inch Wheelset comes with Stan's rim tape and valve stems installed for instant use.
