Iron Cross Comp Wheelset

The Stan's NoTubes Iron Cross Comp Clincher Wheelset eagerly withstands hardcore use and abuse by cyclocross and gravel racers. Its tubeless-ready design features Stan's Bead Socket Technology (BST), which provides a shallower seating area to create a much tighter seal than conventional rims. BST, in conjunction with a relatively wide 20-millimeter internal rim profile, creates a greater volume for less rolling resistance, better cornering grip, and a smoother overall ride. And because you're running these wheels tubeless (though conventional tubes work as well), you can forget about pesky pinch flats from rocky terrain and spiny thorns.

At a healthy 23.2-millimeters wide externally, the Iron Cross' rims fit standard cyclocross tires 32 to 35-millimeters wide. Stan's recommends avoiding tubeless road tires and tubeless tires outside of the 32 to 35-millimeter recommended width, as they'll be very difficult or impossible to mount.

32-count alloy spokes at the front and rear provide the stiffness and strength needed for 'cross and gravel racing. Stan's NoTubes 3.30 Disc hubs at the front and rear accommodate quick-release skewers, with thru-axle conversion kits available for enhancing stiffness. The rear hub is also 11-speed compatible for use with SRAM's newest drivetrains. Note that a cassette lock ring isn't included, but 35-millimeter alloy valves and rim tape are provided for tubeless-ready use.
