    Hot hot hot....

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's a classic for a reason. Coffee stays hot, like actually HOT, for like 24 hrs. Holds more than two people can probably drink. I had a little trouble figuring out the pouring mechanism. But I'm a little touched so don't mind me. Not for a camping pack, but perfect for anything where weight's not a top priority.

Excuse me, I happened to be passing, and I thought you might like some coffee.
Oh, that's very nice of you, thank you.
    Oh, won't you sit down?
    Cream?
No, thank you, I take it black, like my men.

    Mark of a man.

Here is the thing with this classic peace. I remember my Father having one of these that he would take to the construction site every day. One doesn't forget a mug like that even tho his had dents, paint splatter and covered in saw dust. I was so proud when I got my first one it was the mark of a man. Everyone knows what quality this product brings. Hot soup and coffee but it's not so much what pours out but the story it tells. Whatever you decided to put in it take it with you, beat it up it can take it.

    Mark of a man.

It's an awesome bottle, considering getting one too. Something to note about dents: if the outer wall of the vacuum chamber dents enough that it actually makes contact with the inner wall, then that point in the mug will allow heat to pass in/out, and will therefore not insulate as well anymore! So watch out for dents.

    This thing is HUGE

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I wanted a thermos to take into the backcountry, and this is NOT it. The volume of the whole thermos is probably about 2x what it carries in liquid. I'm certain it keeps things very hot so it's great for car camping / your house or anything else where you're either not confined on space. I'm sure it gets a 5-star as far as performance, but as far as versatility and being able to bring it with you places, it's a 3-star.

    Cold day, Hot Tea

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

We climb in cold weather and hot beverages are key to staying warm. We strap the vacuum bottle to the outside of our pack to take it to the crag. It is big, but it holds a lot of liquid and keeps it hot, not just warm. We love it and highly recommend it.

    Good for two.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I picked this up for my wife and me to share. It holds plenty for two people. Stanley gear is good stuff, bit heavy and bulky, but for us its perfect we mostly drive and camp or snowmobile so weight is not usually an issue. If you are just getting it for one person its a bit much but still a great thermos.

    Thrilling Thermos

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This guy holds about 4 cups of liquid, which saves you the cost of 4 pricey cups of coffee throughout your hectic day. It's a fair bit heavier than I would have anticipated and not great for traveling if you're car-less, but it keeps your hot stuff hot almost an entire 24 hours, so if you're looking for morning coffee longevity or a great sharing vessel, this is the thermos for you!
