Love this and can microwave it.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I looked and looked for this sort of cup. I use it at home for hot drinks, and can microwave it (the inner cup - it's sort of a ? whether the outer one or the cap are microwaveable, but I don't bother). It's also very versatile. It's not water tight, but it is spill resistant (PR says splash proof) - that is - if the cover is moved over the opening, it only drips out if tipped over. This is fine for my uses and makes it very easy to open and drink from. Pretty durable too.

How much does the Stanley Mug and Bowl weigh?

Responded on

It's not that heavy for Backpacking. It serves several purposes too - insulated cup, bowl, mixing bowl, measuring cup (estimating), etc. You can put stuff in it and pack it in your pack, or hang it outside too. You can leave behind other items and just take this.

great for picnics

I was looking for a soup mug to take on picnics. This was 2 in1 and provided a soup mug for a hardy serving of soup, stew, and chili. Another second mug could be used for a drink. When we were finished, we could restack the mugs, put the lid on, and place them back in the tote. It is covienent and space saving - better than what I had hoped to find.
