If you often use your bowl as your mug and your mug as your bowl, you know that leftover curry in your hot chocolate isn't always appetizing. Stanley released a statement - Both the Camp/Mug bowls are now being manufactured with BPA-Free Eastman Tritan copolyester plastic and they will state that they are BPA-free on the packaging but it’s still possible you may find a few products such as the Camp/Mug floating around on retail shelves containing Bisphenol-A.

I took this on a 3 week trip to Denali, and was very pleased with it. It is versatile to use for a drink and a meal, or as an insulated cup. It weighs just a little more than a regular insulated cup would. The outside cup has measurement lines, but the inside cup doesn't.
No. As should be indicated by the fact that you can see through them.-----------This combination is made to be semi-insulated when together, but can also be used as a mug and bowl when separated. I've used them together when drinking my hot choco and have been impressed how long it stays warm. I also love how I can separate the two to create a eating system without having to take a bowl with me. It's one of those cool products that makes a ton of sense while creating jealousy among your backpacking compadres....

Good concept but doesn't like the cold

I have just returned from a mountaineering trip and can say the mug-bowl union represents a good, working utensil. When you're not using the bowl portion it acts as a second skin to make an insulated mug. The bowl is large enough for a generous serving and when done the entire unit packs away neatly. On the downside, whilst the mug portion seems to be happy with extreme changes in temperature e.g., addition of hot water to make hot drinks, the bowl cracked in three places. It still holds solids but soup is a problem. The bowl received no knocks so all I can assume is that the contrast from sitting in the snow to holding warm food was too much for it. I approached Stanley regarding this point but haven't had a reply yet.
