What is it about the Stanley 8oz Flask that makes you feel like a real man? Maybe it's the fact that you can climb a 13,000 foot mountain or chop a cord of wood, and take a nip whenever you need some extra motivation. A security lanyard prevents you from losing the cap, and if you're lucky, your sweety will sneak this Stanley flask out of the house and have the bottom engraved for you.

Bottom Line: Stanley = manly.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

Major fail

By:

I have had several of these flasks, all have failed within weeks. There is a small gasket inside the lid that falls out. Stanley did replace the failed flasks, but it gets quite tedious to have to mail em back every two or three weeks for a replacement. It may be Stanley, but it is also MADE IN CHINA.

It's a flask

Nothing special about it, except that you'll be glad you brought it along after a burner of a hike. I prefer Crown Royal in mine, but whatever your poison 8 oz should get the job done.

Ally,
This appears to be the same as their Classic model, which is listed as .4 lbs (6.4 oz) on their website:

Hope this helps!

I haven't actually used the flask yet, but it seems to be quality. I trust Stanley, and I like the size of the thing. Go get you one.

Holds its whiskey and looks good doing it. Has a big mouth, too.
I guess this flask and I are pretty much the same.

Stanley Flask for MANLY men or women

By: Backcountry.com Employee
January 4, 2011

The copy dares ask the question "What is it about the Stanley 8oz Flask that makes you feel like a real man?" Well I can tell you I feel like a real man when I pull out the full 8oz of delicious adult beverages that I get to actually drink and enjoy. This thing is super light when empty and fits nicely in a pocket or side of your sock hiding in your pant leg.

When I see people with those little cutesy 1-2oz flasks that you only get a taste instead of a drink, I cant help but laugh at the money wasted on a container that is only good for holding the tears shed after its empty so quick.
