Bartering a few dollars for a few grams.

Coming in under 300 grams, the SRAM X01 X-Glide XG-1195 Cassette brings XX1 technology to a larger range of riders. The XX1's XD Driver Body, X-Dome, and more can be found on the 1195. Improving on the interface between a cassette and freehub, SRAM's XD Driver Body allows the use of a 10-tooth cog in place of the lockring. The cassette threads at the base of the hub body create a stable connection between the two. However, it still uses the same installation tool that SRAM has relied on for years. This permitted the ample, 10-42t gear spread and the elimination of both triple and double front ring drivetrains. The single unit X-Dome open design creates a lightweight, exacting, and strong cassette that's optimized to shed mud. This ensures a consistent and crisp gear selection in conditions ranging from the Pacific Northwest to arid deserts.

    Makes so much sense

Sure you might have to swap a handful of parts to make your drivetrain 11 speeds, including finding an XD driver for your current rear hub. But competitive cyclist has plenty of people to figure that out for you. And if you live around Salt Lake City, come see me in the retail store and I will even help you swap all of the parts. These cassettes are super cool; made from one piece of aluminum, shed mud way better than their competitors, and the whole cassette threads onto the driver which just make so much more sense than stacking on cogs and tightening down a cap to hold them all in place.

      Crush the Up and Down

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This cassette has the ideal gear ratio paired with a 30T chainring for the type of riding we have out in Utah and was the perfect choice for my new Pivot Mach 6. Long climbs and long descents means you need a good low granny gear and a strong high gear.

Big thanks to Joe Bolton in our Retail Store Bike Shop for getting my new Mach 6 put together. If you are ever in Salt Lake City definitely stop by our Retail Store to check out their bike selection and visit Joe (2607 S 3200 W, Suite A, West Valley UT 84119). Contact me with any questions about this cassette, especially if you are interested in custom building a new mountain bike.

      Crush the Up and Down

      Not your dad's cassette tape.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The SRAM 1x11 system is outstanding. I love the simplicity of only shifting the rear derailleur along with reduced weight and accuracy. The 10/42t range offers loads of shifting options and has proven to be durable. The X01 cassette works flawlessly and is highly recommended to complete your 1x11 group.

      X01 all the way

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I chose the SRAM X01 X-Glide XG- 1195 cassette on my Santa Cruz 5010. Couldn’t ask for a better trail cassette. Shifting is crisp and clean. X01 is the way to go. Give me a shout if you want to talk shop.

      shifty

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After several years on a 1x11 with a 32t front and 11-36 cassette, I’m surprised that I’m happier to have the 10t cog for top end than I am for the 42t granny – it’s WAY faster A friend has 2500 miles on this cassette, so no concerns on durability as long as you keep your chain clean and fresh.

      Extra range

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Say good bye to front derailleurs and gain that range in a nice one piece pinned cassette from SRAM. Great shifting, huge range, and great durability save for the black powder coating wearing off the teeth. An excellent choice that will be cheaper than the xx1 cassette with minimal performance lost.

      One-Piece Beauty

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Machined as a single piece and designed to withstand the brutal wear and tear of mountain conditions, this cassette is easily one of the best components on my trail bike. Easy to clean with a cassette brush and some gentle soap, it sheds mud like water on a duck, and has tolerated everything from arid desert dust to gloppy East Coast mud without ever skipping a beat (or a shift).
