X01 Grip Shifter

Well, pogs might be over for good and kick brakes on your mountain bike would be a disaster (turtles never die, obviously), but SRAM's X01 Grip-Shifter is bringing wrist-twisting shifting back with a vengeance. The impetus for the rebirth is SRAM's X01 11-speed drivetrain. The smaller gearing intervals of an 11-speed cassette requires extra precision, and the X-Actuation design and Speed Metal shift indexing provide near-perfect shifts and solid clicks between every gear, so you never skip gears or fail to downshift in crucial spots. SRAM's Rolling Thunder bearing configuration employs three rows of bearings for friction-free twists, and the whole package weighs less than most trigger-style shifters and keeps your cockpit sleek and cluttered (it might even boost your hardman cred by tricking people into thinking you're running a single-speed).
