SRAM has upped the ante with its braking platform redesign and the new Guide RS Disc Brake. Using SRAM's SwingLink lever design and a new cup-seal timing port closure system, this brake system minimizes "dead spots" in lever travel. This means the brakes respond immediately when you pull the lever to get the pads moving toward the rotor.
The Guide RS lever is paired with a 4-piston, dual 14 and 16mm diameter caliper for a big dose of stopping power. This caliper also comes with SRAM's forged aluminum, steel-backed organic pads, which have long-term durability and are easy to remove when they need to be replaced.
The SRAM Guide RS Disc Brake is available as a Front/left or Rear/right lever and caliper configuration, with the compatible Centerline Rotor sold separately. Additionally, the lever assembly is Matchmaker-compatible, which lets you run various controls off just one lever clamp.
