Padded, insulating fabric at the knees of the Spyder Winterskyn X-Static Tights adds a bit of warmth and protection, while mesh zones help dump excess heat during your mogul runs. Since your leg muscles benefit from a compression-fit, Spyder included ribbed zones for snugness. And since it’s nice to relax after a day on the slopes (instead of rushing to peel off stinky long johns), the Winterskyn uses silver fibers to work antimicrobial wonders.

If you are bigger than 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, then the L/XL is your size. I wore these for 6 days in Vail last and was satisfied enough to order a second pair. Very warm and comfortable.

I purchased these online. They sounded like they would be the greatest baselayer. I have worn them a few times now and have to say I am dissappointed with them. From the crotch down they are great, but from the crotch up they suck. First off the sizing is not the best. I usually where a large pant so I got the L/XL thinking that would be my best choice. Didn't work that way. They come all the way up to my armpits. They don't have a very strong waistband on them so they don't stay up. As my day wears on they fall so that they end up being like a boarders pant. Hanging way below my ass and all bunched up in the crotch of my ski suit. Three or 4 times a day I am having to reach into my ski suit to pull them back up. I may either quit wearing them or have to get a set of suspenders for my long underwear.
