If skiing were scuba diving, the Spyder St. Anton Jacket would make an ideal dive suit. Extremely waterproof fabric and critically taped seams, not to mention waterproof zippers and a zip-out powder skirt with gripper elastic, block snow from even coming close to getting inside. Articulated sleeves allow for free movement and underarm and back vents release steam. Spyder included a goggle wipe/sunglass case on a retractable cord and a removable/rollaway hood for combating fog and snow. Silver fibers in the fabric fight odor and conduct heat.
Bottom Line: Dive deep.

Why is the breathability unspecified on this jacket? Is it because it is not one of the newer high-tech breathable fabrics?
Also, if you are normally a size M, would you go to a large size for layering underneath?

Lots of jackets are measured for you to buy your normal size, and have the layering room already cut into them. But grab your normal layers, and measure yourself, and check against the sizing chart right under the drop down menu. And according to Spyder's website, the fabric for this jacket has a breathability rating of 20K.

Go-go gadget coat.
There are a gazillion pockets for specific things like goggles, keys, etc. Exudes quality with incredible details in construction and materials. Very warm.
I looks exceptionally stylish on, and around town.
It's a nice resort skiing coat, with an old-school feel.
