Spyder Pinnacle Gore-Tex Jacket - Men's - 2009 BCS

Pinnacle is a result of supreme function, design, materials, style, and classic Spyder look. The jacket is bomb-proof. Breathable. And very clean looking. Sniper style.

I have owned a number of Spyder jackets and have always been extremely satisfied with their style, sizing,durability and functionality. I purchased the Pinnacle jacket for a western ski trip as it had all the features I was looking for and I was confident the sizing would be the same as other jackets purchased from Spyder. Although this jacket fit the bill in terms of features, construction and durable material, it just didn't fit well. Specifically, it was tight across the shoulders and the arms when wearing a base layer and light sweater. For the price, I think the jacket should be more comfortable. In comparison, I eventually purchased the Spyder Glacial Gore-Tex jacket in the same size, with many of the same features as the Pinnacle and it has room to spare and has been very comfortable while skiing.

I got this jacket for my husband for Christmas after finding out he "always wanted a Spyder ski coat". He's not a big fan of down puffy coats. This may be because he has a bit of a beer belly and a puffer coat makes him look huge. This coat is very slimming, and he has commented a few times already that it is extremely warm. He wore it skiing once already and found it to be very comfortable. I got him Spyder ski gloves in black to match.Expensive, but apparently worth it.
