This glove uses a waterproof breathable insert to help keep digits dry and a spider-web design for eye-catching detail. Your kid might be worried that the 200 grams of warm ThermaWeb insulation will impair his grab-ability, but never fear—the PVC palm and pre-curved articulated fit makes it easy to grab ski poles. A full-length, over-the-cuff gauntlet makes for fast dressing, and a removable wrist leash acts like a safety net when your boy takes his glove off on the chairlift.

My 8 year old just tried some on this afternoon and the small will fit him this year and next. The mediums had aboout an inch at the end of each finger. My son's middle finger is 3.25 inches from his knuckle to the end of his finger. Hope this helps.Diane

Son complained that they were stiff @ first but they broke in after a couple of days of skiing. He only work mittens for skiing prior to these gloves and he complained that his fingers would get cold after only a couple of runs!

I wouldn't think so. And boys grow up fast anyways, so if it's too big this winter, it'll fit next winter. But I really think you should be ok.
