If most skiwear looks about as functional as wings on a pig in your eyes, you'll appreciate the clean function of the Spyder Jackorak Jacket. Two hand pockets, two snap-flap cargo compartments (pack-friendly of course) and light insulation to keep you a little warmer than a bare-bones shell.

  • Water Slide water-resistant zippers for easy access with gloves
  • Brushed sunglasses pocket to stow your shades for deck lounging
  • Retractable clip in pocket for keys or pass
  • Snap Back powder skirt tucks up out of the way when not in use

Bottom Line: Don't get jacked. Get Jackoraked.

Jack Kerouac

Look at this jacket Jack. Jackoraked. In red, you can you speak it like right said Fred. In black, take it back, this is your jacket Jack. In Grey, you can roll in the hey, so say it out loud now, Jack Kerouac, would have been inspired in the Jackoraked.

Word!

Spyder has come a long way in the last few years, and this jacket follows that program. The material is durable, waterproof, etc., but most of all the jacket fits right. I have had a lot of clothing in the past few years have some funky lines, misplaced seems, and short or long sleeves but this jacket is just right. Also, the color I choose (Deep Space) is sleek and very unique.

Awesome Jacket

By:

I have owned six jackets in the last three years ranging from patagonia, to orage to helly hansen, and the jackorack is by far the best. This jacket is bomb proof. Very tough material and also very warm. Though it doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles it has everything a ski jacket needs and you can tell its a high quality product. The pit zips work great and the collar is high enough to cover your face up to your nose. The fit is a little bit wide but if you go by the sizing chart instead of buying an xxl you wont look like an idiot. I was a little skeptical about buying a $159 jacket and questioned its quality. When I received the jacket the spyder retail price tag said $349. Spyder made another great product. Oh and the deep space color is a lot better in person than in the pictures.

Lower end Spyder Jacket

By:
November 4, 2009

I got this jacket mostly because I liked the color and the white zipper (I got "volcano"). First impressions are that it wasn't the best jacket Spyder makes, but it's still pretty good. The insulation is light, so you won't burn up on the warmer days. The material feels nice and durable but is not as soft and pliable as some of Spyder's higher end fabrics. Overall, a pretty good jacket and very stylish.

Length on XXL in this jacket is 31". Check out the Killer shell jacket (33") or anything from Spyder's venom line, these feature a longer freeride cut.

If you want a longer cut for your tall tees, this jacket is not the answer. Same for me, i got the volcano colour (NICE) but its just TOO fat. I got it in xxl and its gives the feeling that I'm an idiot. It's gives the impression tof being wider from side to side rather than top to bottom.
So: A) I stop wearing tall tees, and go for the adulthood/ski patrol look
B) I shorten the lenght of my tees and still look like a dork
C) I get myself another jacket

Its a pretty swell jacket. Just wish the multinational company like Spyder would put some more lenght in there jackets...
