Description

Show the mountain who wears the pants.

The Spyder Davos Pant is designed to meet the needs of serious skiers who demand the highest level of performance. Articulated for ski specific movements, the Davos feels like a second skin when you lay down sharp slalom turns at high speed. The high-back suspenders keep this pant in the proper place and keep the fluff out when you're waist deep in powder.

  • 360-degree stretch nylon flexes while you hop down mogul fields, and the Bemis overlay film provides superior abrasion resistance
  • 20K-rated waterproof OSMO Xt.L laminate blocks brutally wet winter storms and breathes like a champ so the interior of your pants won't become a swamp when you work hard on the hill
  • Fully taped seams remove any chance moisture will find its way into this pant
  • 40g Primaloft insulation traps precious body heat
  • Stretch polyester lining comfortably slides over layers
  • Articulated knee construction allows for unrestricted movement while skiing
  • Thigh ventilation system helps you regulate your body temperature after pounding through the moguls
  • Removable high-back suspenders keep the snow out
  • Adjustable waist with a stretch gusset ensures a snug fit
  • Zippered leg stash pocket keeps your essentials securely stowed
  • Integrated textured scuff guards protect against sharp edges and ski boots
  • RECCO system may aid ski patrol in the event of an inbounds slide

I tried a bunch of pants before settling on these. The material is really nice -- soft and stretchy while still appearing to be tough enough to hold-up on the mountain. These are certainly ski pants -- not mountaineering pants -- so pick axes and crampons would surely puncture them... The fit is very slim, but I prefer it that way (I got a medium and I'm 6,1 and 165 lbs). Looking forward to trying them on the mountain!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Pros: water resistant with really good breathability. They are really nice to wear.
Cons: they are extremely fragile. Every time I go skiing I find 2 to 5 new holes from skicuts. Spyder absolutely must improve this, before I'd consider buying another pair of pants from them. As soon as Spyder improves the scuff guards i'd give Spyder Davos 5 stars
