Moguls, groomers, deep pow, you are ready for it all in the Dare Pant from Spyder. Thinsulate keeps you warm whether you are bombing steep groomers or neck-deep in freshies, and abrasion-resistant scuff guards help protect the pant from nasty spills. If you don’t wreck, you aren’t trying hard enough.

  • Thinsulate insulation keeps you snug even when you are hell-batting down the mountain
  • Removable suspenders let you choose how you will keep your pants from dropping to your ankles
  • Articulated knee construction gives you ultimate range of motion so your legs are free to move
  • Inner Snow cuff and lower leg zippers help you get a tight fit around your boot and keep snow from creeping up your leg

Bottom Line: Suspenders, or not.

Good pants, little baggy

These are a great pair of ski pants for the price. You get warmth, style, lots of pockets, suspenders that are easy to remove. Side vents with mesh, built in gaiters, adjustable waist.
I skied with nothing but shorts if over 20, light long underwear if it was under 20 degrees.
They run big and baggy. I'm 5'11, 170, 32 " waist and the large were slightly big in the waist I had to wear a belt just to keep them up, or attach the suspenders.
I tried on the medium and they were tight in the seat and waist.

I'll admit it...

..my ski pants are Spyders...

I am 5'11" 165 lbs, and the L fits me great. The insilation works well, and when touring I like having the zippers down the seams to zent, and with 40g of thinsilate, you will need to vent.

For lift service on most days I wear just long-underwear under these. On days creaping down below 10-5 degrees I might drop two thin pairs of long underwear on, or one thick heavy layer. and on super cold days (zero to negative 20) ive been know to drop the long johns and fleece sweats on.

I am pretty hard on my equipment dragging these things against trees and sliding myself down long big rocks with these on. No holes yet. The inside reinforcement does well in another of my problem areas, cutiing pants on my ski edges.

Sorry I didn't spot this sooner...

Still to answer these questions:
1. Temps are in farenheit
2. The Large is a bit baggy, and big on the legs, I bet I might have been able to away with a M now, when I bought the large I was still 5'11" but weighed 180-ish

Hi Phil,
I'm thinking of buying these pants. Quick question:

When you talk about the temperatures, do you mean Farenheit or Celcius? Also, isn't the L a little too baggy or big on the legs? Because I'm about your size and never wore anything above a Medium.

Thanks
