Suspenders one day, none the next.

The pant of choice in the Spyder Quest series, the Men's Dare Athletic-Fit Pant is the perfect addition to your winter weather wardrobe. Removable high-back suspenders keep your britches riding above your butt shelf (but lower than your nips) and your baselayers securely tucked in. The athletic fit and articulated knees allow for a full range of skiing-based movements, so go ahead and suit up in the best ski pants you've ever owned, we dare you.

Stretch polyester fabric nails gnarly with the help of Xt.L 20k/20k laminate. Brush off blizzards and keep your cool when you're speed-skiing or charging up a ridgeline for the first shots of throat-clogging powder after a big dump. If someone dares you to stand in front of a firehose with these babies on, well, you might stay dry, but you won't stay standing. When the sun beats down and temperatures rise, open the thigh vents and quickly dump excess heat.

When temps force you to plug your car in at night, Thinsulate insulation keeps your legs extra warm. The athletic fit gives you room to layer without turning you into a straight-legged snow zombie. Inner snow gaiters attach to your boots to create a snow-snubbing seal. Scuff guards protect the pant against the bumps and bruises of winter, so you can huck and roll without inflicting too much damage to your pants.

4 Days Of Skiing Before The Season Ended

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I've gotten a handful of days in these and have been quite satisfied with them. I have not had them in extremely cold weather yet so hopefully they do well with some decent base layers. They appear VERY waterproof, and the vents are nice. Most of my skiiing so far was end of season / warmer temps. (67 one day!). They fit very well, on me. At 6' they are just at the bare minimum on length, but they are good. Any shorter and it would be very close. I wear a size 34" GAP jeans for reference, with a fairly athletic build.

If I had to complain, I think the suspenders could do a better job of staying on your shoulder. (maybe a cross member half way up or something? I have worn the pants with and without, I believe if the suspenders stayed on better I'd just keep them on.

    Slope Ready

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

    +Comfortable
    +Perfect length with snowboard boots
+Very warm, almost too warm with leggings around 25F
-Suspenders would work better with a less elastic strap

    Great fit!

I love these pants! The fit is awesome - not too baggy and the stretchy fabric allows for a complete freedom of movement. The side vents are nice for the warmer days. Plenty of pockets and removable suspenders - these ski pants have all the featured you want in a great pair of ski pants. I am 5'10", 160 lbs, with 31" waist. The small size fits me perfectly. Highly recommended.

The dare in Osetra color, what kind of a color is it, Grey or more on the Brownish side? can't tell from the picture.

Also how much baggy are the athletic as compared to the tailored?

The Osetra color is more of a Grey. The athletic fit will still be a slimmer cut but compared to the tailored being borderline skinny jeans. Hit me up directly if you have any questions.
