The challenge of skiing should not include fighting hypothermia on the slopes. With 20K waterproof breathable fabric and warm insulation, the Spyder Men's Challenger Jacket keeps you comfy throughout winter storms. The light Thinsulate insulation traps your body heat without making this ski jacket feel out-of-control puffy, and the critically taped seams work with the waterproof material to block snow. Wear the Challenger Jacket's hood on stormy days, and roll it away or remove it for spring skiing. Unzip the Underarm zips when you start to heat up on the slopes, and don't worry about your occasional yard-sale—the Challenger Jacket's powder skirt helps keep wetness out.

Bottom Line: Fight cold winter storms with Spyder's Challenger Jacket.

Excellent Jacket

Great jacket that I wear with the Spyder Bormio ski pant. Blue jacket with black pants, women seem to notice. As usual Spyder has paid great attention to detail in its design and materials. The finest materials and hardware throughout. All the pockets you will ever need, nice goggle wipe on coil which you can anchor in any pocket of your choice, the usual pit zips and a nice hood that is removable. You stow the hood in a large zip pocket located on the lower back of jacket when not in use. The hood folds flat and doesn't protrude when put away, no one will know its there. Although the hood isn't insulated, it really cuts the wind and actually keeps my ears thawed when sitting on a lift. Important since I won't wear a hat. Off the lift, off the hood. It stays out of your way any won't flap around when skiing. Should fit any helmet. The jacket is well insulated, warm without the bulk. Breathes quite well. I wear a Patagonia base and 1/4 zip shirt under jacket and am set in single digit temps. Fit and cut is wonderful, doesn't get in way of skiing at all. You know it's waterproof. A fine jacket that will make you look good on any mountain.

TO SMALL TO BE PERFECT.

A Spyder jacket is pure perfection. An incredible level of attention to style AND functional detail is what separates these garmets from the competitive rags. Difficult to imagine how you could experience disappoint in your aquisition no matter which Spyder model you select. A word of caution however: Buy a size up especially if you work out.
