The Spyder Women's Breakout Down Jacket re-writes your notions of where and when you can wear down. There's no need to coddle the Breakout or protect it from an active day on the slopes; the 360° stretch twill shell was made for movement, and its Xt.L waterproof breathable laminate and Sylon DWR treatment protect the insulation from soaking in a storm. The distinctive geometric pattern of welded baffles also breaks away from your previous notions of what a down jacket should look like.
- 600-fill down provides warmth without bulk; welded baffles hold insulation in place
- Powder skirt with stretchy Lycra panels can be zipped off or snapped back when not in use
- Gusseted cuffs feature stretch Lycra hand gaiters with thumbholes

Does anyone know if the seams are sealed at all (all seams, or critical seams, or none at all)? I can't find anything on Spyder's website, or any of their vendors, that says one way or the other. I have contacted Spyder and am waiting to hear back.

I am 5'7 and 135lbs. I do not consider myself "big" for a woman, but I have long arms and broad shoulders. I rarely find a women's jacket with the "just right" feeling. The sleeves always leave my wrists exposed and I have the "fat guy in a little coat" feeling. However, this jacket is an exception. The size 8 fit perfectly.
I loved everything about this jacket except for the color. Here's the good stuff: 1. The sleeves fit perfectly and it was wide enough across the back. 2. The length was perfect. It wasn't too long and hit at an attractive place on my hips. 3. It felt like a broken- in sweater: warm and cozy.
EXCEPT: The color on the website looks more lemon than lime and I liked the color as it appears in the website. However, as described, it is, indeed, "sharp lime." My fault: I should have based my choice on the description, not as it appears on the website. All in all, I really loved this coat, just didn't think I was cool enough to rock the color.
p.s. I pulled out my jacket from 7th grade; the one with shoulder pads and a fitted waist. It is the same color as this jacket. :)
