The stylish looks of the Spyder Women’s Big Sky Softshell Jacket will draw you in, and the waterproof performance and techy features will keep you wearing it day after day. The Big Sky’s three-layer waterproof shell easily shrugs off blasts of powder and light rain showers, and the slightly eccentric design will have all eyes on you as you arc perfect turns all the way down the mountain. An internal hem draw cord seals out blowing snow, and waterproof pocket zippers keep your camera and other small essentials dry and safe.

Bottom Line: Get out and enjoy those big blue-sky days with this jacket.

I LOVE THIS SHELL JACKET!

I heart this jacket! So far my only complaint is that the zipper-pulls are shiny silver, when I'd prefer if they were a muted black to blend in with the rest of the jacket. Otherwise it's fantastic, and has more "extras" than the description included. It's got pit-zips (a must), a waist-cord, inside snaps & a waist-sort-of-elasticy-thing that keeps the cold breezes from below from getting in. It's water & wind resistant. It's warm. It's nicely fitted for women, with a great high-collar. It's sleek-looking so you can wear it out. The cuffs even have this inner liner thing where you can put your thumbs through a thumb-hole for extra warmth & to keep out the drafts in your sleeves. I live in NYC, & if it's above 30 degrees in the winter/spring, I will be wearing this jacket. It's great over layers (or on its own on warmer days). I'm a gardener in the city, & I think this jacket is going to be PERFECT for early-spring work! I'm not a skiier, but I'm sure it'd be a great shell for slope-swooshing as well.

ps, there are cool little magnets in the front flaps, which for some reason strike me as a really nice touch that help keep the front sleek & the drafts out...(of course if you have a pacemaker or something, they might not be so great.) :)
