The Spyder Men's Apogee Jacket is designed for serious skier who insist on riding regardless of the weather. This 3-in-1 component jacket features a removable 600-fill down liner. You know you're protected from practically any winter weather event when this liner is zipped into the waterproof, seam-taped 3-layer Warm Back XT.L shell. Strategically placed panels of stretch fabric promote mobility. Welded pockets, waterproof zippers, a powder skirt and a removable storm hood all work to keep the elements outside the Apogee. Thoughtful features like a Flasher pass pocket prove that this jacket is extraordinary. As for the down liner, a quilted pattern keeps the insulation in place. The liner's lightweight ripstop shell fabric lets it slide easily under the Apogee shell, and also keeps it looking snazzy when you wear it out for some post-powder day debauchery. With the down lining, this jacket keeps you nice in warm in gnarly conditions. The shell itself is very well designed, soaking up no water/snow and providing excellent wind protection. Some nice features as well (lots of pockets).

Saw this jacket on the Spyder website and purchased it here. I am from Florida and was looking for a warm jacket. This jacket is not "puffy" but is slim and very easy to ski in. The outside shell can withstand driving rain and wind. The only issue I had was that the Spyder website advertised that the jacket had a see-through spot on the sleeve to see your watch, but that is not true.
Excellent jacket.
