The newest in Spy’s stellar line of goggles, the Apollo Goggles incorporate Spy’s new multi-base Mosaic lens, which follows your head’s natural curves and results in greater peripheral visibility. A lightweight flexible frame and spherical design combine with strategic venting and UV, anti-fog, and anti-scratch protection to deliver Spy’s top-of-the-line optics. Oh yeah, the Apollo Goggles look pretty damn hot too.

Bottom Line: Use your peripherals.

Flimsy and hard to change lenses. Poor customer service

I bought these thinking "wow these look great" . IN reality they sit far off your face as if made to wear glasses under. Very difficult to change lenses and once you do so they never fit in the same again. These goggles are poorly constructed, the frame looks like it will snap when slightly bent.

The smith IO come with an additional lens, better construction, simple to change lenses. If spy thought they were going to offer a comparable product they haven't. Buy Smith and they have good customer service.

On another note I ordered a spare lens from the company, it showed up with a defect bubble over the eye. It has been more than a month and I can't even get a response. I began asking around and it turns out Spy is known to have some of the worst customer service/ warranty service in the industry. I took the lens to the local shop $70 btw for the lens. They called their rep, they wanted the customer to send it back personally??? never heard this one before.

Do not buy a Spy product, if anything goes wrong it's all on you. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Here's a pic of the lens, I sent it to them but still nothing..

I have a pair of '07 Spy orbit's and the lens just did that same thing to me.(Same eye in fact) Right in the middle of a trip. And of course I couldn't get another lens anywhere... Not sure how it happened. I went riding, put them away, then next day I got em out and bam! Drove my eyes nuts that day.

Depends when he is racing, night or day? And if during the day are most of the days going to be a bluebird day. Most likely he is racing at night after school like most Nastar race leagues unless it is for school. But I would not spend the loot on these frames. Plus he almost always has to have a helmet on and these don't have a rubber grip inside the strap to help hold to the helmet. Check Anon and Oaks' goggles, little cheaper and better reflection lenses.

Apollo goggles ROCK!

By:
February 3, 2010

I blew out my old Oakley goggles so went with the Apollos in an effort to try something new and DAMN THESE THINGS ROCK! I absolutely LOVE the anti-fog feature and they are super comfortable even with my helmet. THANK YOU SPY for making a great looking, functional goggle. I will definitely be coming back for more when I need another pair!

suitable to helmet

Apollo goggles are suitable to helmet without pressure to face. Venting helps anti-fog. Very good!!!

Peripherals unparalled.

These goggles allow for awesome vision. The goggles feel "flimsy" in my opinion. The goggles are for medium to large faces and still slides down my nose a little.
