Cold, biting wind can ruin a day on the trail. Zip up the Sporthill Women’s Journey Jacket for windproof protection that breathes deeply to keep you comfortably prepared for every gust and gale the mountain throws your way. This softshell’s subtle stretch keeps you limber while you scramble or set up camp, and the moisture-wicking membrane moves perspiration away from your body. Sporthill gave this technical shell zippered, mesh-lined back vents for a refreshing dose of fresh air when your workout gets steamy. An audio pocket on the chest lets you trail run to your favorite tunes without fear of cord-induced strangulation.

Bottom Line: Very blustery days call for the Sporthill Journey Jacket.

...it'd be worth it (got mine on SAC). Full-price, no way. It's quite warm and difficult to vent once you work up a sweat. Arms are long but wrists and neck are tight. Vents are over your kidneys and are a struggle to open or close without taking off the jacket. But it does get you out playing in cold weather.

Excellent!

This jacket is overall excellent! It is totally true to size, I'm 5'3" with relatively long arms and the fit of size small was perfect, no bagginess or binding anywhere and sleeves just right. It has a real "quality" feel to it and is quite substantial - I think it will be great for snowshoeing or XC skiing in cold temps. Has great side vent zippers and pockets. Neck is cozy with fleece and zipper protector. Wind cuff inside sleeve is just right too- sung enough to keep wind out but not tight like other jackets I've tried. Highly recommend!

Terrible Jacket

By:

Awful. The stitching looked like it had been sewed by a four year old under the influence. The material sucked. I bought it on Steepandcheap.com, but it was definitely not worth even the discounted price I paid ($65). I wouldn't pay $25 for it. Needless to say I returned it. I'm not sure who decided it was worth $159, but they're on something.
