    Keep riding.

Wind? Rain? Nothing to worry about. While not as thoroughly insulated as the Windstopper or Roubaix booties, the Sportful Lugano booties are still entirely water and wind resistant, making it a perfect bootie for all but the absolutely coldest riding conditions. Reflective piping makes them highly visible at night, too.

Good Gore Tex shell for your feet

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Extra Large

Just to be clear, the Lugano booties are Gore Tex shells with no insulation. The fabric repels water and serves well in cool dry conditions. However, I've had trouble with road spray seeping in on longer rides, leading to very cold feet. For shorter rides in light drizzle, though, the Luganos have served their purpose...Overall quality of materials and stitching is good, so I expect these to hold up over several seasons...Regarding size, heed the advice of other reviewers here: Gore Tex does not stretch, so you might want to size up. I wear other Sportful booties in size large, but bought the Luganos in XL. They fit easily over my size 42 Fiziks with a little slack--definitely not aero, but also not a PITA to slip over my shoes.

    Snuggly and Toasty

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XXL

I rode with these on last week for my rainy century ride and yesterday on a morning downpour. As a previous reviewer said, they do fit tight, but that's what one would expect and want to keep the rain out. You have to keep in mind that this is a waterproof product, so it should fit tighter. I wear a size 45 (about size 11) Diadora road shoe and the XXL fit great. After my rides, my shoes and socks were bone dry. I bought these mainly because of the trusty Gore-Tex lining and it performed great. Zipped all the way up, the ankle is tight but I found it gave a little after my rides. Because of the ankle tightness, the rain that dripped/ran down my legs did not penetrate in. These booties are snugger than my Sportful Windstopper ones, which I also love. Overall, I very good waterproof product.

    Finally a dry cover!!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL

After searching far and wide for a bootie, I accepted that no matter what my shoes would need to dry out and my focus was on keeping my feet warm. An incident put me back in the market for booties and my torn up pair was no longer available. The accident was a blessing in disguise. These fit tight (wear 45.5 and size XL fits perfect/snug), and I wouldn't want the ankles any tighter. These with nanoflex warmers over the top has kept my feet dry in a steady rain for 20miles (haven't been in rain longer than that). Only wetness is the sweat from my feet. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

    Great shoe covers

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Extra Large

Got to love Gore Tex. These hold up to wintery elements like a charm. Wet, cold, pouring these keep your feet toasty. I've used them down to about 20 degrees with my feet only getting cold after about an hour of riding. The fit runs small. Because they are Goretex they don't have much stretch to them. I'm a size 10 shoe and got the extra large.

    Great shoe covers

    Just Purchased Didn't Use, Returning

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small

Use Sidi Ergo2 Carbon bike shoes size 45. Bought the 2X-Large. The Sidis have a small black heal protrusion, the heal cup system, that sticks out about 1/4" to 3/8". The waterproofing zipper cover was gapped open. . . zipper was secure all the way up, but really stressed. Zipper was a YKK, but smaller gauge than expected. With the force necessary to close, I'm sure the zipper pull would have broken and if the cover didn't stretch after use, then I'm sure the zipper itself would have given it up in less time than it should. Heal cup and cleat hole didn't line up without shifting the shoe cover to a position it didn't naturally go. Finally, when fully zipped, very tight around my ankle. . . bare skin, no socks or tights. Had to use quite a bit of force to get zipper closed around ankle. Also made me question the zipper's likely early demise. Never used, returning. Probably would have been better with different shoes.

    Good durability

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: double x

Keeps the wind out, and the water off. The rear zipper is far more durable than I thought it would be. So far, so good. Takes some technique to get on quickly, but not overly difficult. Interior does not bleed black on to shoes. Use with Gaerne Stilos size 46 double x fits perfect.
