For nearly 20 years, SportCrafters has been making private label rollers for CycleOps. Several years ago it developed and patented its ARC Power Modulation Technology, which paved the way for its own line of Cadence and Overdrive rollers. The SportCrafters' Cadence Rollers are precision machined in the USA to challenge both your body and mind.
Designed and manufactured in Granger, Indiana, the aluminum roller drums are 3.25in wide with .125in wall thickness. They are lathed for precision runout and balance and are dynamically spin balanced, meaning they will not distort in heat or sunlight. The end caps are molded polycarbonate, and the bearings are greased and sealed and do not require maintenance — so you'll have one less thing to think about in the cold of winter. These drums are set into a durable steel frame that has been plated and powder coated to resist corrosion and rust.
Now, if you're wondering why you should ride rollers instead of a trainer — hours spent on rollers will build core strength and balance. They are also an excellent way to increase leg speed for that sprint. If you want to be able to have the benefits of rollers but also wish to be able to "zone out" at times and just ride and watch a film, add SportCrafters' Fork Stand to your Cadence Rollers to stabilize your bike — turning the rollers into an all-around trainer. Additionally, the High Inertia Drum may also be added for an extra kick in your workout.
The SportCrafters' Cadence Rollers are available in one size and accommodate wheel sizes 600 to 700c and 26 to 29in. As drilled they will fit wheelbases from 37.5 to 44in. The unfolded dimensions are 60 x 20 x 4.25in and folded dimensions are 31.5 x 20 x 5.25in.

These rollers would never come in first in a derby with other brands. Why's that?
1. They fold up all right, but they don't like to stay unfolded, that is, the section on the cable side tends to pull out of position when you lay them out or, indeed, move them right or left a smidgen.
2. The so-called resistance feature doesn't offer any more resistance than an Iraqi soldier.
3. The two plastic end caps at the joint where the rollers fold invariably fall out.
4. Because of #1 and #3, the drums sometimes roll at slightly offset angles to each other, so the rear tire of the bike is stressed, adding to wear.
That said, I didn't buy these to train on--I live in Colorado, and we can train outdoors on something with two wheels year-around--but to improve my balance and peddling. Especially with the latter, rollers have helped significantly.

Here in Utah we bike riders face a tough reality. Though we enjoy the greatest snow on earth, there are days this simply makes riding outside impossible (OK fat bikes, but we're talking road here). Perhaps you face other time limiters, conditions or other restraints that keep you inside when you want to be riding. Do you get a trainer or rollers is the great debate. Without question you should get Sportcrafters rollers.
First to address the trainer vs. roller debate. While a trainer is a reasonable solution, it's just not the best way to work on practical bike skills. Sure you can turn the pedals, but a trainer gives you the leeway to be lazy in your pedal stroke and balance. With rollers you are forced to focus on a smooth pedal stroke and balance, engaging your core muscles and ultimately leading to a better pedal stroke and higher efficiency the next time you clip in on the road. Yes, there is a learning curve and I'd recommend starting off in a doorway or next to a wall, but once you get it down you'll enjoy a roller workout immensely more than the drudgery of the trainer.
I love these rollers for a few reasons. Quality, ease of use and rolling consistency. These aren't run of the mill throw a couple of rolling pins between a cheap metal frame. Nope, high quality aluminum rollers and powdered coated steel make for a very durable and great looking set of rollers to liven up the living room. The rollers come...ready to roll....right out of the box with no assembly and an easy setup. No need to swap wheels, tires or skewers fumbling around with your trainer. Quick and easy. Finally the actually feel of the rollers is smooth and consistent, provide for a road like feel.
