So far so good!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size

My wife's review: Since it is winter I haven't had a chance to wear them anywhere near water (can't wait to!). They are really comfortable and have good soles so seem like they'll be great come summer.

Saved my life shoes

This was a last minute purchase for a kayak trip to Haida Gwaii on the northwest coast of B.C. I needed shoes with a good grip and my 4.99 stretchy watershoes from the dollar store probably would not work. These shoes were nothing short of great. I kayaked in them, climbed in them, walked slippery rock and beach surfaces with them. I did not slip and the traction was excellent. I wore smartwool socks (wool was by far the best type of sock)with them to avoid blisters. I did get one large blister from rubbing on the side, then figured out that wearing wool socks was far better. You cannot kayak in any water shoe for 9 days without socks. These shoes literally saved me from falling down on slippery moss, slippery rocks, etc. and contributed to an awesome trip. The only minor problem was that really teeny tiny pieces of sand did get stuck in the buckle so I could not undo the buckle but eventually it worked its way out. It was not really a problem.

perfect for sailing etc.

I got these in advance of an intensive sailing class. They were perfect - grippy on wet deck surfaces and roomy enough to wear warm socks underneath. They are comfortable for auxillary activities like walking/biking. A great all-purpose shoe for an active water vacation.
