The Special Blend Women's True Snowboard Jacket offers all the features you need to stay warm and dry during winter's worst, in a fashionable little bomber-inspired package. Quilted construction, printed lining, and rib-knit cuffs and hem give you urban style for off-mountain haps. Special Blend armed this coat with 10K-rated waterproofing and taped seams to keep the snow from sneaking in. Flex gussets and articulated elbows keep you feeling unrestricted and free to spin, jump, and grab. Light synthetic insulation staves off January chills, while underarm zips let you unload excess heat on warmer days. For defense against upward blasts of snow, the True Snowboard Jacket features a powder skirt that snaps to Special Blend pants.

Bottom Line: No posers here.

I am considering this jacket for my wife, she is 5'9" 145 lbs, she doesnt ride alot, but will use this on the mountain 5 or 6 times a year, so I want to make sure she is covered, what size will most likely fit her best?

When picking a jacket to wear it is al ways best to go off of the chest size. Special Blend sizing is Small: 32"–33.5" (81–85 cm) Medium: 34"–35.5" (87–91cm) Large: 36"–37.5" (92–96cm). So figure out what size she is and match it to the sizes above. She will be stoked on this jacket, super warm.

I usually have problems ordering a jacket that will actually fit. This one is perfect. The knit cuffs and hem are just right to keep cold air and snow out. I've had tons of compliments!!!

The sizing for Special Blend is Small: 32"–33.5" (81–85 cm) Medium: 34"–35.5" (87–91cm). Layering is good, but layering with the correct product is even better. Heavy weight first layer is still pretty thin, because of this the best thing to do is to measure you self to see what Size you are, then (just to be safe) add and inch. You should never be layering as much as and inch though. Good heavy weight base layer one piece and a Technical flannel would be more than enough. I love base layer!

Very stylish jacket, comfortable, roomy, but one thing i would like is the powder skirt to be a little longer and tighter...would be nice if it could adjust

This jacket looks awesome (and wickedly inexpensive) but it looks so short... What size would I have to get to make sure I'm not constantly pulling it down over my butt crack?

Well you didn't say how big you are. If you're 5'0", the answer's quite a bit different than if you're 6'2" and burltastic. Size?I'm 5'6", 145 lbs 38-32-37, and I purchased the large. It fits perfectly, though is perhaps a little boxy in the waist. As far as the butt/hips go, it hits me just past the widest part and it stays down of its own volition pretty well. The elastic on the powder skirt pretty much takes care of that.
