Wet underwear is bad. Soggy long johns are even worse. Special Blend made the Men's Empire Snowboard Pants with 10K-rated waterproof fabric and critically taped seams, so you don't have to experience wet or soggy. The Empire shell snowboard pants keep your legs dry, and hip and inseam vents help you cool off after a few laps in the park. Articulated knees give you room to move during your grabs, and two big back pockets store glove liners. The Special Blend Empire pants' snow gaiters keep the white stuff on the slopes where it belongs.

Bottom Line: Special Blend's Empire Snowboard Pants—because no one wants to be king of the wet, clammy underwear world.

Special Blend Empyre

I bought the special blend empire pant last season and loved it. it stayed dry, stayed warm as long as you had a layer underneath (micro fleece for those blisteringly cold windy days). i skiied it around 80 days as i was instructor and sure it got the crap kicked out of it. but nothing more than i expected. a few tiny rips and holes and the cuffs on the bottom in the back wore out because the pant is really long. I'm 5'9" 140lbs and a 30" waist and i had to use the velcro tabs tightened fully on a small size pant. the pant was super long. super baggy. and super comfortable. just as far as durability i'd rate them as a one, maybe two season pant... but over all they're dope

Neon makes a comeback

By:
July 3, 2009

First off, I returned these. Mens small was HUGE--what used to be sized as mens large. They are very well made, good material and details, lots of useful pockets. But the "topiary green" is really neon green--its way lighter and brighter than the photo (why can't BC get its photo colors closer--other sites seem to manage to). BUT, if what U want is to make a statement, these are very good pants. I have a SB jacket, which I love. Good quality stuff at a price that lets you have more than one to project different moods on the slopes...Ya!
