Get into the Special Blend Women’s Crash Jacket and treat the mountain like your own personal red carpet affair. Off-center snaps compliment this form-fitting Special Blend jacket and function as storm flap closures. Light loft insulation and the Crash Jacket’s flannel lining keep you warm without overheating. Special Blend made sure you could remove the hood when you’re kicking it around town, so you can show off your hot ‘do. But don’t think that this stylish jacket is only about looking fly, cause Special Blend gave the baby herringbone fabric a 10K-waterproof rating, and added Underarm zips and a powder skirt.

Bottom Line: Fashion meets function in the Special Blend Women’s Crash Jacket.

Lyman Crisler - were those waist sizes you gave in your answer? can you give any more detail about how it fits in the chest and the hips?

would you say that this coat is slim fit? regular fit?

thanks!

The sizing i posted are our chest sizes for our jackets. This is a slimmer, more form fitting jacket. The powder skirt holds the jacket down from riding up, especially if you get special blend pants then they will connect to each other. To be honest "it fits well" is what women tell me. i think you will like it.

Well I bought this for my mother. She doesn't have a skiing jacket but she won't be using it till the 2010/2011 ski season. It's a great looking jacket. She lives in Florida so it doesn't get to cold for long but it looks like it could be used as a city jacket as well. The liner can be removed but I'm concerned with the hood on the liner. It doesn't attach to the jackets hood. Nice complement of pockets.

Not a stupid question at all. Our sizes are not numerical. But here is our sizing scale. Measure yourself and see which is best for you. XS: 30"–31.5" (77–80 cm) S: 32"–33.5" (81–85 cm) M: 34"–35.5" (87–91cm) L: 36"–37.5" (92–96cm)

I love it

This jacket is stylie and practical. Many people comment when I wear it. it's light weight, and warm. I got a small because it was the only option for me in the color I wanted. (probably would have chosen a med. if I had the option). It fits snug, not much room for extra layers underneath when snowboarding. But it doesn't seem to be a problem.
I'm happy with it.

What does it's wet weather rating mean. I need a warm all purpose wert weather jacket that is lightweight for traveling to China it has to be able to fold up into a small area too. What is it's weight?

Are you asking weight as in lightweight and heavyweight? The jacket is more on the heavyweight side because it is insulated. If you just want a shell that will keep you dry, look at the Special Blend Avalon Jacket - Women's. This has a removable liner, so if you take it out, it will just be the shell.

It has a waterproof raiting of 10000mm so you will be fine in most weather systems. There is no weight raiting which tells me that its heavy. For packability this is not the best option try checking out the...The North Face Bomber Jacket...Arc'teryx Fission SV Jacket - Women's or maybe do a rain jacket with a feece or down jacket under it. If you can afford it Fission is the way to go

I love this jacket! It's cute, fits well, and is very warm. I wear this jacket skiing and doing every day stuff and have no major complaints. Yes, the jacket does have to be worn zipped up or it looks stupid, yes the zipper pulls are tiny, yes there are no sleeve cuffs (I just wear glove liners that go up to my elbow when skiing), and the pockets are a bit awkward because they are not slanted at all. But I love this jacket so much that I'm more than willing to look past the problems. There's a ski pass pocket, a great snow skirt, and an Ipod pocket and headphone cord holders.
