Love this top post yoga or gym. It's loose but not too loose, and still fitted to your body. I get cold if I wear it in the evenings when it's chillier so I don't anticipate I will wear this in the winter. Great material and well constructed. Super comfy!

Modest and sexy at the same time! I love how this shirt feels against my skin. It is so smooth against my skin. The fabric has just the right amount of stretch to it. My movement never feels restricted. Although, I would not personally use this piece for yoga as it is not as long as I would prefer. I do not feel that the bottom of the shirt would stay in place while inverted, which would bother me. The shirt certainly feels like it is made well, but I think $50 is a little steep for what you're getting. Even though you can see though the mesh-style material on the back of the shirt, it is not overkill. It is very subtle, especially with the wrinkles in the shirt.

One other point I'd like to touch on is the neckline of this piece. I have a bigger chest (34DD) which can change the fit of a shirt entirely when compared to what it looks like on smaller chested women. The scoop neck style is not the most flattering on me. It amplified the size of my chest, which is less than desirable for me.

All in all, my experience with this shirt has been great! It's cute simple, fits true to size, hangs nice and is very soft to the touch!

What a cute and unique piece that is super versatile for any season! I can totally layer it up when it is getting cold out, or just wear the top by itself even in the summer. Very light weight, soft and breathable. Soybu is a brand specific to yoga, although I do not think I would recommend this top for the actual purpose of yoga. The waistband does taper to stay on your hips, but as soon as you are in downward dog, it’s going to slide up. I feel like the fit of this top is supposed to be loose, almost like you would wear an off the shoulder sweatshirt from the eighties. The size chart for me showed I would wear a size medium, but I personally didn’t like how fitted it was, so I went with a large instead.
The price point was a bit of an issue for me as well. I don’t know how this shirt is valued at its retail price without it even having any organic materials used.
I do love the mesh panel accents, especially on the back! There are so many cute sports bras out there to add that little bit of flare to the outfit, and highlight your back. Even just layering it with more color is so much fun!
I think overall, this is a fashion piece with a comfy yoga vibe to it. Comfy when feeling lazy without actually looking like a lazy piece of garbage. But then again, that is the beauty and reason why yoga apparel is in.

At first I was hesitant to wear this shirt in the heat of the summer since it is long sleeved and black. Now this is one of the most cozy, practical shirts that I own.

The fabric is extremely soft, and the mesh panels let the air flow through, making it a lot cooler and feel as though it's not long sleeved. In the summertime, I'm always trying to get as much protection from the sun and sleeves are often the best answer, but who wants to wear sleeves in the summertime? No one. This top is PERFECT for sun protection because it keeps you covered while remaining breathable.

I also love how the back is all mesh so you can wear a cute sports bra underneath and having the solid fabric on the elbows is nice cushioning.

This top is a looser fit, but is still flattering because of the solid fabric on the bottom that makes the shirt lay nice around the waist. It's great for yoga, hiking, camping, or just a day laying around the park.

First, thank you so much to Backcountry.com and Soybu for introducing me to such a cool brand. I was so excited to review the Alma Dolman Shirt - Long-Sleeve for the benefit of the Backcountry.com community, because I FRICKIN’ LOVE THIS TOP.

Pros:
I am a bit top heavy/busty, so I usually avoid baggy tops like this one, because usually they make me look a lot heavier than I am. While this top is loose, it is cut in a way that is very flattering, even for someone with an hour-glass shape.

I also love the netting in the sleeves and the back. It isn’t flimsy, but rather, made of the same material as the rest of the shirt. Even though it is long sleeve and black, I can still wear this out in the summer heat and be relatively cool. The see-through back makes me want to buy all cute strappy bras I can find. I’ve used it as a swimsuit cover up as well while SUPing. Works great.

CONS:
I love the soft material this shirt is made out of. The only downside is that I have a white dog, and the dog hair really sticks to the material. Not really the fault of the shirt, but make sure you have a roller handy if you have a furry friend at home.

I admit I am not a yoga-fiend, but as I tried to do a pathetic rendition of downward dog, the top does ride up. It isn’t tight at the bottom hem (around the stomach), so it will come up if you are doing a lot of up and down yoga positions. Or jumping jacks. Or random jumps of joy.

You are really going to love this top. I am seriously considering getting it in every color Backcountry offers. Soybu seems like a really great company that is making an effort to create unique looking clothes, that are really comfortable. 5 Stars All Around!
