Love my Sorel's

These are a great pair of boots to have for winter here in Canada. Love that they are waterproof, kept my feet warm and dry when it snowed a couple feet last month. The fur liner is perfect for outside but obviously not ideal to wear inside for long periods of time. I like that they are not a very high boot. I would definitely recommend them.
Great boots!

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
These boots were bought as a gift for my wife. She loves them. Keeps her feet dry and warm, even in snow up to her ankles.
Finally Sorel got some sense

- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Finally someone at Sorel took off one of her too-big Caribou boots and whacked whoever made the decision to offer only whole sizes. For years I've watched Sorel put out adorable winter boots, and every year I try them, only to find the 8 a teeny bit tight, and the 9 a little too roomy. But this is the year! I purchased a pair of these boots in an 8.5, and I almost cried at the match made in winter heaven. I will be wearing these boots all winter long.
Cute but not comfortable

I bought these books because my friend recommended this brand but had a slightly different style. I was excited to receive them in time for a snowfall in my area. They are cute and the fabric was soft. The construction looks good and sturdy. They look like they will last for years and years. The laces tie up snugly to keep your feet warm and dry. The size is true. The width is good. The tread is great for snow and ice. The boots keep your feet warm. Having said that, I was so disappointed when I put them on and the ankle/heel support cut into my skin. Now I have to return the boots because they hurt too much to wear.

I bought these for my mom for Christmas and she loves them! They are warm, easy to get on and off, and are less clunky than other Sorel boots that she's had. She loves the plaid and has gotten lots of compliments on them. She wears and 8.5 or 9 and the 9's are perfect for her.

These boots are amazing. I love my old school pair of Sorel but the toe box is quite large. These are perfect. The toe box is appropriate size. They are warm and comfortable. Not to mention I get compliments every time I wear them. Love them!
Lightweight, well-made and very stylish!

This is my first winter boot since 2005 when I got some suede/fur Vans. I wanted a boot that had grip (Vans had me sliding on ANYTHING), was lightweight so I didn't feel like I was going to strain to lift my fit, and also appeared more stylish than the booties my parents forced me to wear during the 80s. I had seen a commercial for Sorel on TV just a few days earlier and then got a recommended link from my Bank to purchase on Backcountry.com. So glad I did! This boot is so cute on my feet! It looks great with jeans, and I don't think I will wear it just when I am cleaning snow off my car. I intend to pack these when I visit Europe in the winter (definitely so light I won't even notice they're in my carryon!)! The make of the shoe is high quality, so I feel I got my money's worth! I like that I can fold down the "thinsulated" high-top to reveal a cute packed down light beige wool fabric. They fit my feet perfectly, and I have a 10.0 wide woman's foot.
Do you ship these to Canada? Thanks!

With the right socks, they kept my feet warm all winter, and they are pretty light weight, so I had no problem traveling with them. I wore them with snow pants to and from the resort, I wore them when shoveling the driveway, and I even wore them once the snow started melting and it was muddy and wet outside. They even looked cute with a pair of jeans tucked into them for going to the bar. A+!!
Not as functional as they are cute!

How much you love these boots will depend on what you want them for. For me they didn't go up high enough on my calf for the heavy snowfall we get in the midwest so I had to return them.
Great compromise boot

These boots have some wonderful features: waterproof and tough yet not clunky and super cute. However, I would warn a potential buyer with a few observations. I run a bit cold and found the boots to not be nearly as warm as the -25F rating suggests, although I feel very comfortable at 10F. Also, the sizing is a bit tricky since the boots run a tiny bit big in my opinion, but there are also the factors of sock thickness and whether or not you use an in-sole, which I believe these boots need since they have no support. I wear a 9.5 and got the 10 so I could wear thick socks and put in that extra support. Plus, an in-sole makes the boots a bit more insulated. Overall, I love the boots and would/ have recommended them to a friend. Just try them on and really walk around a bit if you can.
Love 'em!

These boots are awesome! Not only are they waterproof, great in the snow & ice and keep your feet super warm, but really cute too! They are not clunky like some winter boots - they look great with leggings or jeans. They are perfect for the N.C sleet & snow but if you live where you get a ton of snow you may want a taller boot. They run about a half size small so go up. I love them!
Would these be good for snowshoeing?

Unfortunately these boots are coming back. They are so cute but they are NOT warm at all. Unless you plan on wearing them in fourty degree weather it is just not practical to call them a winter boot. I am serious it is hard to send them away but for the price I need to feel my toes.

are these boots good for large amounts of snow..say about 3 to 4 feet? or should i get a more heavy duty boot?

Jessie.....I saw these boots last month in Nordstrom..they are just above ankle so they're more for a few inches of snow. If u need boots for 3/4ft then u should get Sorel's "Joan of Artic". Last winter the Uggs I wanted were sold out & I couldn't find anything that I liked..it was about 3days b4 a big snow storm & I really had no choice but to buy them. We had about 2 or 3ft of snow & I was so dam happy I bought them. My feet stayed dry & warm. While my fingers froze my feet felt like summertime! The most important thing is I didn't fall or slip not one time & that's more important than me being cold/dry. I'd rather freeze than to fall & hurt myself lol.
Finally! Cute winter boots!

These boots are fabulous. They're extremely cute, a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of other winter boots. No more huge clunky boots when it's snowy outside. They're very warm thanks to the 100g Thinsulate insulation and the fuzz around the top is extremely soft. A real winner!
Fashion and Function!

This is the perfect boot that covers both sides of what I need for the winter months. Waterproof and fashion that is not too chunky! The color that I got is the brown plaid and it goes with anything. It was not too heavy to wear in early Aug so I am stoked!!!

Surprisingly lightweight!! But run a little small. Have only used them once, and not sure if I could use them again:( I would go up a size if I ordered them again.
