Don’t let the word ‘lace’ fool you into thinking that Sorel’s Sorelli Tall Lace Boots for women are frilly, fluffy, or for show only; with a waterproof design and burly tread, these boots definitely mean business. The rubber shells wrap over your toes and heels to surround your feet in a cozy, waterproof barrier. The tall, water-resistant uppers protect your legs from occasional splashes of mud, water, and slush, and they also allow you to walk through deeper pockets of powdery snow with confidence. The shells are lined with 3mm of felt to help trap in warmth and provide additional comfort. And the lace-up front design not only lends these winter boots a classic look but also a customizable fit.

more cute than tough!

I ordered these as my go to winter boots. They are a great color and style. I get a lot of compliments on them. I was hoping for a little more insulation, especially around the foot (the uppers are felt and are pretty warm). I have an older pair of sorel's that more beefy. I ordered a size 8 and I usually wear an 8 1/2. They are still pretty roomy with thick socks on so I think they run a 1/2 size or more bigger. I use them mostly for to and from work and running errands around town. If you are looking for something more hardcore than that, I would buy a different boot.

    Cute but odd fitting

These boots get a 10 for style, for sure. However, they fit really awkward. They're really wide in the toe box, so much so that my feet rarely touched anything. They also run large. I would suggest ordering down a half to full size. There's also a wonky piece of rubber that hit my forward ankle in a weird way, but that could be because they were too big. I think if I had wider feet I would love these boots. If you're lucky enough to have them fit your feet, I'm jealous, because they really are super cute.

      love the boot

it took a minute for the boot to fit my foot/ or the foot to fit the boot, and it is wonderful. i live in Canada and we take our winters seriously. i expect the boots to be fantastic for my winter activities. my friends agree that they are adorable and comment about how cute they are. i think they will be plenty warm enough for putting the husky to the sleigh or snowshoeing, and general winter activities. thank you Backcountry! your boots will keep this little Eskimo warm! :)

        Very Disappointed

I shop a lot and I am a shoe lover! I love shoes that are not only stylish but comfortable and these my friends are the worst boots I have ever purchased. They are so incredible uncomfortable that I had bruises on my legs after only walking in them for a few hours. They run small length wise but are so wide that your foot fits funny in them. They take forever to lace up and there was nothing comfortable about them!!! I wore them twice thinking that maybe after the first time I didn't give them enough time to break in...sadly I paid the price. I gave them 1 star because they are rather stylish and that is about it. I will try my hardest to return them. What a disappointment!!

Great pair of boots for the midwest

I go to school in Madison, Wisconsin and I walk to and from class every day so I bought these shoes in order to trudge through snow and keep my feet warm.
One problem I noticed is that these shoes are heavy. Then again, this is my first pair of cold weather boots so maybe I'm just not used to it. I'm also on the shorter side (5'1") so the boots fall right below my knee which makes walking uncomfortable from time to time. I also have wide calves (15" around) so the boots are a bit tight and I can't slip easily into/out of them. However, I'm a sucker for style and these are the only boots that are fashionable and functional at the same time.

In regards to sizing, I usually wear a 7.5 but I ordered half a size down and it fits me perfectly.

            Snow Stompers with Style

As far as winter trompin boots that can go through the slush, these are the best I have ever had. I was worried they would be too tall and annoying with the laces but they are great and actually easy to slip on. The insides are kinda like neoprene but makes it easier to get in and out of so I like it. I would size down a half or full size. The length is pretty spot on but they are so roomy that they feel bigger. Im considering an insole to take away some of the volume and add more support. I have the charcoal/black and they are really stylie and versatile.

Great boot. I was a little disappointed though when I got the boots and found the lining is actually some kind of neoprene (similar to the material my wetsuit is made of but thinner) not felt like the description says. The outside is felt, which is pictured gray here on the website but the inside lining is not. Therefore the boot slips a little. It is roomy in the foot area, the length is perfect though. I have to wear very thick socks to be comfortable. I love the look of this boot, I think I'll keep them.

                Fashion with Funchion!

Love this boot! I was looking for something that I could wear for snow but that I could use as a fashion boot, something that not everyone would have. I get stopped and asked where I got these boots... they are hard to find but when you do find them you have to grab them!

are these boots any good for snowshoeing/winter hiking?

They run big so I'm not sure how comfortable they would be for long hikes. Also they don't have a very beefy tread. The foot bed doesn't have much in the way of support but that would be easily solved with a pair of superfeet. I don't do much more than casual walks in mine :) Hope this helps.

                  Temperature and Size

I've looked at several different sites and I can't find a temperature rating for these boots. Most Sorels are at least a -25 that the case with these? I'm buying them as my go-to winter boot and want to know that when it gets down to -15 here, my toes won't freeze.
Also, no stores around here carry these, so I can't try them on. I'm going to order a size 8 (I'm normally size 8) because I've heard these run large, but generally, I'll be wearing really thick wool socks with them. Good idea? Or do you think I should go one size down?

I wear a 9.5 to 10 shoe but my size 9 Sorelli Tall Lace fit great with a mid weight sock. I would recommend the 7s but if you seriously need to do more than just a quick walk to the store when its -15 maybe you should get the 8s, or a different boot. If I had to guess the rating I would say 0 or maybe -5. I get cold toes but not so far in these. My feet get hot if I'm wearing them inside for more than about 20 minutes. Needless to say they are cute as heck.

How are these boots for walking? My current boots are fine for short distances (quick trips around the shops, errands, etc) but absolutely kill my feet on longer trips (shopping, commuting, etc.) so I'm looking for something a bit more comfortable.
