It’s easy to see why Sorel named them the Women’s Snow Angel Lace Boots. The fully lined fleece interior peeks out of the cuffs of these boots for ski-town style, and the 200 grams of Thinsulate insulation covers your feet in luxurious warmth. Sorel’s waterproof rubber shells, outsoles, and nubuck leather block wetness as you walk into town, and the removable EVA footbed makes for easy airing-out after your long strolls. Sorel rated these boots to -25 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bottom Line: Your feet’ll be stoked to go out in the storm.

I got these just for wearing around my college campus and in town doing errands and they are great. The boots are very comfy and warm. Even though they are waterproof I would recommend Sorel Caribou's for anyone looking to do more than just walking around town.

These shoes look great...and warm! I live in a place with serious topography - even around town. Does anyone know: are these 'flatlander' shoes or do you think they will grip steepish icy sidewalks?

These actually are pretty nice in terms of grip. They use the same rubber as some of the beefier Sorel's and those all grip extremely well. Obviously nothing is fool-proof but you should have plenty of traction for anything around town.

Warm, comfortable and practial. Nice looking and easy to put on and take off. Nice boots for everyday snow and rainwear and also for more extreme conditions. Would buy again.

Julie, I wear a size 9 but I bought a size 9 1/2. The only reason was for bulky socks. It was not necessary for my to buy the 1/2 size. This boot is very true to size. I love them.Mary

Yes I think they would fit. I wear a size six and have average ankles but I feel like there is a lot of room for adjusting. The only problem is that you might need to buy longer laces.
