    Thar be a great Booty!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 6.5

Purchased these for my roommate for Christmas, here are her impressions:

"I absolutely love them! Make sure you go at least a half size bigger than you normally wear. They are a good leather, so they take a while to break in. I have small calves, so the straps on the back are super helpful. They are very sturdy, but not warm because they are not insulated. They are perfect for kicking any attacking ninjas in the face."

Ok, that last line I made up. If you have any additional questions about these boots, or any other sorel boots, feel free to hit me up directly!

    Thar be a great Booty!

    Stylish winter boot

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 10

The fit is not at all loose fitting like some of the other Sorel style boots, it is a comfortable pull-on fit. Not overly bulky like most snow boots. Definitely one of the most fashionable boots from Sorel. I love them!

    Stylish urban bad weather boot

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I bought these for my sister in law. She was thrilled by the look. She says they keep her feet warm and dry. They fit true to size for her. They are an urban boot though. They aren't meant for hiking or heavier use

    Fit but not waterproof

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small

These are beautiful and fit properly. I got so many compliments on them. Unfortunately, the pair I received were not waterproof. I wore them in a rain storm and had wet feet all day at work. I somehow convinced myself that my feet were just sweaty or that I was imagining it (I wanted to love them so much!) but then I wore them in the first snow of the year, and I could feel the ice and snow seeping in. If I wanted wet, cold feet, I would not have spent $200+ on these boots. Luckily, backcountry.com was understanding -- they have sent another pair and I anxiously await another snow storm to make sure this pair is not defective as well. I'll update this review when I am able to use the next pair.

    Good but will be replaced

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I really like the look of these but they were a little small for me. I have sent them back to go from a 7.5 to an 8.

Update: Got the size 8 and they are perfect!

    Got these for the wife

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large

If you do the same, you will be the hero in her fairytale! Get these a half size smaller than her shoe size, and don't look back. All colors are nice, but the Kettle is especially nice. This is the 3rd pair of these I have bought for her. All are amazing quality and look.

    Singing in the Rain

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: N/A

Got these boots as a gift and my cousin loves them! She lives up in the PNW and so she wears them during rainy days and they keep her both warm and dry. Sorel is not only about style but functionality as well so the leather does actually keep the wet out. However! these are not hiking boots so I don't try and use them for hiking. They are strictly a casual and around town boot. She wears a street shoe size 7 and the 7 fits her perfectly.

    Beautiful Boots

The minute I opened up the box I loved these boots! I got the black color, and the leather is just beautiful! They are warm but not too warm to make your feet sweat. They are completely waterproof - and are now my go to boot for the office for rainy days. I cannot wait to have them for the snow!

      Love these boots!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I debated on buying these boots because of the price, but they are well worth it! They are wonderful quality, and fit great. I have slim calves, and the adjustable straps at the top make for a custom fit. I've read some reviews that said these boots ran small, I used the size guide for Sorel boots and had no troubles. They are not super warm, but these are my go to boots for running my daughter around and running errands. They're stylish and durable. I've worn them out in the rain several times and they show no worse for the wear. I would definitely recommend these and I won't hesitate to buy another pair myself.

      Love em!

I had a pair of rain boot Sorels before this that are about 4 years old ( left ones in the picture). They are size 11. I am 6'2" and normally a 11. I got these in a size 12 and comparing them with my pair from the past, they are the exact same size boot. So I am glad I sized up. These easily slipped on and off, I have thinner legs and they were just the right amount of room around the calves - not too loose. They sit about 3 inches below my knee which is perfect. I look forward to using them much like my previous pair - snow, sleet, rain, sunny, on hikes, through town. I find them more comfortable than my last pair. They are a felt like material inside, which I think will be nice. I do have plenty of room for ski socks. I prefer them to be a little roomy.

        Love em!

        Smokin' Winter Boot!

        • Size Bought: 7

Wow, style and function beautifully married, that's how I would describe this boot! The look of this boot is so versatile they can be worn from ski slopes to dinner. About the fit: I am 5'-3" 135 lbs. I have slightly muscular calves and these fit perfect. Ample room to wear skinny jeans or leggings with but not so baggy that they look sloppy. The footbed is padded and comfy. The inside of the boot is lined with what feels like felt, very soft. The toe box is wide so there is no pinching. These boots come about an inch below my knee which is perfect, not to tall which I sometimes have a problem with. I wear a 6.5 in street shoes and a 7 in outdoor footwear. Ordered a 7 and they fit great. These are so stylish I wear them to work (in an office) and do not feel out of place at all. Love them, love them, love them!

        I wanted to keep them...

        • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: 7.5

These boots look great, and I almost kept them. However, my main purpose was going to be for camping (even though they look great to where for anything). They just took a minute too long/too much effort to put on, and I knew they'd be annoying rolling out of my hammock in the middle of the night and trying to put them on. If I had ordered them for another reason, then I would have kept them. I am typically a 7. 7.5 fit great, and I actually would have been fine with an 8 as well. I would say order up at least a half size. A full size if you want to put a wool sock on. I found the length was just fine for me. They went almost knee height.

I purchased, and returned these boots

        • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: 9

From the picture, I was expecting these boots to be knee length or close to it. I was expecting a mix of a winter/snow boot with a riding boot. They were alot shorter than expected, only went about halfway up my calf. And they run small. I bought a half size bigger than my normal size, and they were still kind of tight.

Very pretty but they run small

        • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: 7.5

I purchased these and ordered a size 7.5, just as I do in all of my Ariat boots. I was surprised that my toe touched the end of the boot, I will be sending them back to get an 8 or 8.5. Still think they are great looking boots and I am excited to get a size that will fit.

Great boot, but order half a size up!

        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: 7.5

I have wanted to these boots for quite a while, but held off purchasing them. These are sharp looking, practical boots but I would advise to order a half a size up, especially if you are at the top end of your normal size. I have always worn a size 7 in about every shoe or boot I own, so I ordered these in size 7. That was a mistake because the boots were too short, so I have reordered the 7.5. I have another pair of Sorel boots (Joan of Artic) and I should have looked to see what size those were before I ordered the first time. Those too I ordered in a 7.5. Thank goodness it is easy to return and exchange items with Backcountry!
