Slip your feet into the Sorel Women’s Maribel Boot and let 100 grams of Thinsulate insulation keep them toasty warm. Top quality, seam-sealed waterproof leather gives you durable, supple uppers to last through many winter seasons. Built on a women’s-specific last, the Maribel Boot provides a close fit for added comfort. A faux-fur lining adds style whether you’re trudging through city slush or walking into your favorite ski lodge. A burly Sorel rubber lug outsole handles the dirty work of keeping you on your feet in icy conditions without even breaking a sweat.
I am looking for a boot that will keep my feet warm and dry walking around college campus-so I don't want boots that will weigh me down. Are these boots a good match? Any suggestions?
This boot is very warm and keeps your feet completely dry. However, it is not the boot shown in the photos! It is described has having a suede upper. In fact, it has a somewhat shiny leather upper. ( I am referring to the black version.) Unfortunately, the leather looks a bit like plastic and is not nearly as attractive as the black suede in the pictures. The company must update its photos to indicate what is actually being sold!! Otherwise a very good snow/rain boot.
I'm travelling to New York in February for a holiday and expect to be doing a lot of walking. I need some comfortable shoes that are good for walking and will be appropriate for the weather conditions in New York at that time - and of course they need to look good. Will these boots be suitable, or can anyone recommend anything else. I'm from Australia, so not used to the winter weather conditions that you experience.
Absolutely. Bought these for my mother as she is coming to visit for Christmas (live in Germany). I am a big Sorel fan. Pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love my Sorel Maribel boots. They keep my feet warm and dry, and they are the warmest boots I have ever owned. I knew when I ordered them that they were exactly what I was looking for - warmth, comfort, and style.
i abosolutely love these boots! living in utah in the winter can be rough and cold. with these boots i am warm and they have excellent traction to give you confidence in the ice and snow to prevent falling. what more can you ask for?
Yes you can, depending on the thickness of your jeans, and how tapered they are of course.. so long as you are not wearing bell-bottoms, you should be good to go! =)
L,I haven't seen these ones on yet so I'm not sure quite how they fit. The toe box looks like it is cut pretty low similar to a Merrell Jungle Moc. The woman's Sorel Caribou has a large toe box and will probably offer you a better fit, just not as feminine. You could always order both and try them out in your home to see which one you like more. Personally I would go wit the Caribou. Mahalo, Sumo
I just wish they had a pull loop on the back to make them easier to get on. Otherwise, they kept my feet toasty warm in Yellowstone and were nice to my toes after my other boots chewed up my big toe. They're warm, comfortable, and look good.
these boots are great! i wear them every day, through two feet of snow or when it all melts and its very wet. my feet stay warm and dry, i seriously adore these boots, they are pretty much the best gift i have ever recieved and have improved my life dramatically, i'm not joking about this.
does the faux fur go all the way down and cover the foot bed? I'm looking for an extremely warm, yet not too bulky pair of boots to cruise around in....
No, the faux-fur does not cover the foot bed. The foot bed is fuzzy, but it is a shorter, firmer nap than the faux-fur that lines the inside of the boot. The faux-fur does go down as far as the foot bed, though, and the boot does an excellent job of keeping my toes toasty.
Hi. I just bought a pair of these sorel maribels.I wore them out into our first snow last night and was shocked at the complete lack of traction they have.I had to actually had to come back in and change because they were acting more like skates. Am I missing something?! The sorel brand i thought i knew was all about great traction.Am I missing something? Can I do something to make the traction better?
Were you on ice? We've had sorel's for a long time and though they've had pretty good traction in the snow they're horrible, along with everything else, in icey conditions. I don't know that you're missing anything. There's no boot that I've found that's fool-proof. Just one of the beauties of winter I guess.
They won't buckle into snowshoes, just cruisin' boots.Hey, to clarify, you CAN wear these snowshoeing, but you wouldn't want to. You want something with a little more structure across the top of your foot. The "supple" tops of these boots are not ideal. Plus, the tight straps of the snowshoes across these boots would probably damage the leather. So Angus is right, these are cruisin boots, but this gives you a little more beta on why. For snowshoeing, I'd recommend something like the Sorrel Timberwolf boot. Check it out.
You should be able to, they're not especially bulky boots, but it depends on the jeans.----Yes, any bootcut jean should work with these, and look super cute.
