    Great Boots!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 8

Love these things. Perfect for winter hikes, or getting through deep snow banks, or for fishing cause you can get right in the water and muck with them up to a certain point. Yes, they are clunky and be prepared for the weight cause they are heavy. They are a must have for anyone who likes to be outside in the winter. The quality is great; I anticipate I will have these for the rest of my life. On a scale from 1 to 5 warm meter I give them a 3, warmer boots are out there, but I just pair them with some thick wool socks and I'm usually good to go for a couple hours before I start to feel the chill.

    Initial Thoughts are Good!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 9

From the looks of it these are great boots. Construction seems solid and they are true to size. Will update again as they're "put through the wringer"

Cute and functional with a few quirks

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 6

    (This is Miles' wife)
As the owner of multiple sorels, I know fit can be an issue with this company. I am a true 6 so I ordered a 6 and a 6.5. The 6.5 fit great right out of the packaging although I had a feeling they would pack out. Pack out they did and I'm glad I stuck with the 6's. They are so warm and the elk color is great!
They are a challenge to take on and off, if you look at the boot liner, there is a tight elastic at the front of the ankle which most likely contributes to this issue.
Overall, for cold, snowy days, you want these puppies by your side but, they are a bit clunkie and kind of high maintenance to take on and off.

Sorel Joan of Artic Knit ll Women's Boot

First, let me start with the positive comments. This boot is super cute and very stylish!! I researched to find the warmest winter boot and this proved to be very warm. I read many reviews on this boot before I ordered it. Yes, they are a little clunky and heavy but hey, this IS a winter boot! They look really cute tucked in my jeans and I've had lots of comments on them. I normally wear a 7 but after reading other reviews I decided to order an 8. I probably could have worn a 7.5 but didn't want the hassle of re-ordering. With a thick sock they fit pretty well with extra room. Other reviews said they were hard to get off and they are. The heel is narrow and did rub a blister in several places the first couple of times I wore them but only on the right foot. The left one didn't rub at all. We just had 8 inches of snow and they kept my feet so warm and dry! Ice was another story! I guess that is true of any boot on ice. I had no traction. Another review I read said they were hard to drive in. They were a little but really no worse than trying to drive with high heels on. I love this company's return policy. You have up to a year to return them if unworn. Not many places give you that long. If they were a little less heavy they would be the PERFECT winter boot! I'm glad I chose this style and the Elk color! The color of the boot is exactly how it's pictured. I love this color so much! Yes, I would order this boot again and would recommend it to my friends!

    Warm Boots

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These are my heavy duty, snow day boots. They do a great job of keeping my feet warm, and I don't have to worry about stepping in a foot of powder. They are a little bulky to wear every day, but for those big snow days they are great.

    Fashionable and true to size

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Only have worn these in and around the house, The snow is Dumping and I can't wait for their first adventure!
I am a true size 8.0. after many slip on cowboy boots and rubber work boots I have learned the hard way.
I initially bought a half size up per some reviews I found on several website, including Sorel's site. 8.5 was a smidge too big, Size 8.0 with my usual adventure socks fits like a glove. Easy on and off, great adjustable lacing, Waterproof, not chunky looking, fits well under ski pants and comfortably over leggings without pulling, limited heel slip and doesn't pull my socks down.

    Cozy

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 7.5

I got these for my wife in the shale color and loves them. She likes that they're cozy, waterproof, and go up high on her calf for deep snow, but are still stylish. Only drawback is the stitching inside the boot where the finger loops fasten is kinda pokey/itchy. She's a size 8 normally but went with the 7.5 because the 8's were too big.

    Functional

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 6.5

I would recommend ordering these 0.5 size larger than what you would generally order. I had read multiple reviews stating these ran smaller and was lucky enough to not have to swap them out for a larger size. I usually wear a 6 in most shoes, and purchased these in a 6.5 in the Elk color. My feet are on the narrow side, so these are a little wide on me in the toe box, with thick wool winter socks they fit perfect. They are warm, soft, and comfortable. 100% my winter dog walk go to this year once we get some snow.

    Why is it not winter

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

    • Size Bought: 8

Unfortunately it is wayyy too hot to try these on outside right now. I had to try them on and make sure they fit well as soon as I had them at home. I have wide feet but not so wide that I require a wide size shoe, typically I just size up. I heard these could get clunky if you sized up too much so I just went from a 7.5 to a size 8.

The first thing I noticed is how bright the laces were , I might replaces those but I am kind of a sucker for the neon color. The overall fit of the boot was a bit tight all around but I kicked my heel back in it and made a bit more room. I am going to wear these when it cools down around the house to break them in and then they will fit me perfectly. If I get another pair I may go up to a size 8.5 just for slipping on for example. Size 8 for Casual Street wear size 8.5 for easy on and off and room for downhill walking /hiking. Heres my idea of the boot from the ground up.

Really thick stable rubber vulcanized sole

The felt was strong on the liner and supportive but it will break in perfectly

The ankle was tight which prevented any heel slip

The lacing was really adjustable to get the right fit

The pattern was so cute and they look flattering and not clunky!
