When do you expect to have this Sorel Caribou Reserve Boot back in stock and do you know what sizes you have on order?

There are no in between sizes it seems like, and I am a size 9.5 for athletic shoes? Is a size 10 a better fit or can i get away with size 9?

Best Answer

If it were me personally I'd go with bigger size so a 10 would be the better fit for you.

Best Sorel Boot - Worth the Extra Money

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

For those of us who are familiar with the older, Made In Canada Sorel's, the new line of Caribou's can be a little disappointing. Build quality, fitment and materials aren't quite what they once were.

The 2012 Caribou Reserve addresses these issues and then some. The full grain camel leather upper is as gorgeous as it is breathable; ditto the shearing liners. Seams are perfectly in line, impeccably stitched, and the rubber gasket doesn't wander as it is prone to do on the bare-bones Caribou. The liners are reinforced (with the same leather) along those seams most prone to wear.

Comfortably warm in the freezing cold, the felted wool and shearling liners mean these boots are also breathable enough to be appropriate for those slushy 36-degree days when rubber boots and woolies alone aren't warm enough.

'But they're so expensive!' you say. 'When I got my Sorel's that I've had for the last 25 years they were only $150!' you whine. Listen, old-timer. Those were 80's dollars. They were worth a lot more! If you want a pair of Sorel's that will last you another 25 years, pony up and get the Reserve edition, they're worth every extra penny and then some.

And since you're already here, get them (and any other gear you might need) from I had a minor issue with my order and it was dealt with expediently and in a consummately professional manner. I can safely say it was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had, certainly cementing my loyalty to this wonderful website.

Oh and as with all Sorel's, Half Sizes Size Down!
