The Solio Classic Solar charger will refill your digital camera, iPod, or cell phone with electric juice using the sun when you're outdoors or a normal wall socket when you make it back to civilization. One hour under the sun will give you enough energy for 40 minutes of music or 15 minutes of talk time on your cell phone. Interchangeable Power Tips allow you to carry one charger for all your electronics, including MP3 players, portable gaming devices, cameras, cell phones, and GPS. The USB adapter included with the Solio Classic is ideal for staying plugged in on outdoor adventures but it does not include the euro power adapters you'll need for overseas.

Bottom Line: Stay plugged into civilization anywhere there happens to be sunlight shining down on you.

I'm leaving on a camping trip tomorrow and I bought this

I'm leaving on a camping trip tomorrow and I bought this to charge my iPhone. While testing it at home last night, it would attempt to charge for several minutes and then turn off. Every time I pressed the start button, it would start again but never fully charge the device. Does anyone know if there is a problem with this or if I could be doing somethign wrong?

Yes it should. I have a smaller solio and I connect my apple cable to the usb. It works fine on my 2nd gen iPod touch, which uses the same charging voltage as the new iphones.
