Good Helmet!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this off WM about a year and a half ago and I really like it. The adjustability is great and the fit is solid, but I would highly recommend a liner with it, especially on colder days since the wind can really bite between the ear pads and your ears. I like to use the venue in combination with the prophecy goggles, and I think the integration is very good. There is no gap between the goggle and the helmet, which has the added bonus of not making you look like a goof.

Smith Venue Helmets

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these helmets for my grandkids and worried I would have a hard time getting them to wear them because of looks etc. , but they really didn't mind the looks and after wearing them for a day LOVED them for the comfort and warmth etc. these are awsome hemets

Fits this man...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I recently purchased this helmet and skied with it for a week in Crested Butte. The fit was comfortable and warm. Thankfully, I did not experience it's protection abilities, but I am confident it will do well in that regard. I cannot understand why the reviewer below would become convinced it is a women specific helmet. I have a pretty good size melon and the large fits me perfectly with plenty of adjustability. The only drawback I experienced was that my goggles will not stay on the helmet when I lift them up. Not a big deal though. This is a great value.
