Sufficiently Meh

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Decent for the price-point. I've had some issues with them fogging up while skiing—especially when conditions don't have high visibility in the first place. Overall, pretty good.

Sick specs!

Just got these not too long ago and can't wait to try them. Love the style along with all the amenities. Also, gonna really enjoy the inner strap grip. Incredibly annoying when my goggles slide off the helmet. Y'all know what I mean!

    My first Smith Goggles...

Definitely not my last. Great price for such a quality goggle. Took everything from slush rain, full pow, ice, and a couple of parking lot drops in stride. Literally did not fog in any condition I got myself into. Should add I have smith helmet that says it adds efficiency. I do not know about that but I can tell you they work hard for the money. 2+ seasons, got 3 lens options, easy to change so why not keep them perfect for the conditions.

      Strap Connecting Clip Poorly Designed

      • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Received these goggles as a Christmas present and after the first time skiing the strap clip has broke. Would not recommend the product at all until Smith comes up with a better design than 2 little prongs that secure the clip. The prongs are the diameter of a toothpick and made of plastic - not really suprised they broke.

      Nice fit

Great universal helmet fit, leaves no room for a gaper gap.
Fits most face sizes and the lenses change out pretty easily.
Not the most durable goggle, but light and pliable.
Such a killer price point, I bought two pairs w four lenses and i dont worry about loosing/scratching...
used them all winter in all conditions and didn't have any fogging issues.
        great product smith

Not as mirror as they look...

I got the Black 1%/Red Sol X mrror goggles, and the lens isn't nearly as mirrored as it looks. The pic makes it look like Darth Vader's personal goggs but I got them and they look more like a red and yellow saran wrapped plate of leftovers. Way too see-through for my bloodshot eyes. Debating on sending em back, but I don't know if I wanna drop the $7 to do it and then risk a similar fate with someone else's shwag

Not as mirror as they look...

          Less expensive but work great

I like using my Stance goggles in the backcountry. Less expensive and function great. I don't have to worry about as much about loosing them and they crush easily into my pack. Not something I want to do with the I/O goggle. I have the Green Sol X mirror lense and I like it for super sunny days as it is a very dark lense. Having the yellow is perfect for low light conditions and it gives a trippy color changing effect.

Got these goggles and purchased helmet...

Got these goggles and purchased helmet afterwards. I'm overseas so trying stuff together is tricky. The Force Helmet by Burton doesn't fit quite right. Anyone have a helmet recommendation?

I have a very small head and face (I'm a girl) but I really want the shocking pink goggles. How do they fit? I don't want a pair that seem bulky on my face.

Can anybody post a pic or describe what the goggle strap looks like for the Black/Red Truetype? The main photos don't show much of the strap. Thanks so much

Whats the fog like on these?

Whats the fog like on these?

All the Smith goggles have very good ventilation to keep them fog free. The one factor however , with all goggles, is to make sure they dry out all the way before you store them away for the night. This will insure that you stay fog free through out the day.

so if I buy these here and I want to get a stigmatism fixed what do I do?

As an update... you are in luck (sort of). I recently discovered that Smith offers a prescription adaptor for some of their snow goggle lenses. It is called the ODS2-RX adaptor and they claim they are easily serviceable by most opticians.

However, it is only compatible with Turbo Fan series goggles, not the Stance (hence the 'sort of'). Bummer, I know, since the Stance are super sweet (had mine for over a year and I love them). Hope this helps!
