LOVE them
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
I have a small face and these goggles fit perfect! I love that these goggles don't have a clip on the back of the strap.
I got the Desiree Padfoot color with the blackout lens as well as red sensor lens for the low light days. The lens were a bitch to change out the first time, but the more you do it, the better you become. I used to be scared I'd snap a prong off the lens or something and that was frustrating. It's all good now though.
Blackout lens are awesome on sunny days and the red sensor lens are awesome on super-flat light days... but if it's kinda sunny, kinda cloudy... the red sensor lens are bright as hell and burn my retinas. I can see just fine with blackout lens on those kinda sunny, kinda cloudy days. Choose wisely!
The fit is great, I have no wind getting in or fogging issues and they go with my small Smith Maze helmet perfectly.
I'm very happy with these goggles and would recommend them. They look great too!
Good first pair
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
The fit was great, both lenses worked for what they were described for, and they are easy to change. They have fogged on me once so far but overall, great goggles for the money.
Great goggles, stellar price
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
As with most products from Smith functionality and fit are spot on. Lenses changes are quick and easy, even without any fancy latches which I've become acustom to on my other goggles.
Good price, decent goggle
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
This goggles are good, They aren't the best but they are good. I really like the size of them, They are big but not obnoxiously huge. I haven't had issues with them fogging up on me too bad, I like the look of them and they came with a bonus lens. They aren't a 5 star goggle in my opinion but they work well for me.
Great for the price.
Feels very high quality initially and fits me face all the way around so as not to let snow in through the gaps.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it feels like you are not getting as tight of a seal on the lens once you take them off and put them back on.
great goggles!

this is my first pair of smith goggles and I love them easy to switch out lenses and the fact you get a day night lens with it great gear will stick with these for a while!
Great goggle with a small flaw
- Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
I received a pair of Smith Squad goggles as a gift, and was initially impressed with their fit, field of vision, and build quality (Always nice to see "Made in the USA" on the box). However, these goggles are not compatible with my POC Fornix helmet (XL/XXL). I have found that many goggle companies seem to have moved towards shorter strap lengths, so I would highly suggest trying these and other goggles on to check for compatibility with your specific helmet.
I would suggest these to anyone who wears a size L or smaller helmet.
Laser vision
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
Pretty solid goggles. I really like the minimalist frame design compared to the Smith I/O line. A spherical lens would certainly be preferable for a better field of vision, but these goggles are great for the money. The Fog-x inner lens is really great and the interchangeable lens options are really nice.
I ordered the black frame with the ignitor mirror lens and I find that color is a really great middle range lens for most light conditions and the extra yellow lens that it comes with is great for the lowest of light conditions. If you want a great goggle that won't break the bank, this one is for you.
Smith Squad Interchangeable Goggles
My Favorite Goggle So Far!
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
I've always liked Smith products, so when browsing for new googles I came across the Squad and new I had to have them. I have never had interchangeable lenses so the idea was new to me. Smith makes the change over very simple and time efficient. Pop the lenses out of the nose and upper slots, pull the sides out of the slots, and the lenses are out. I liked the fact that they came with bright yellow low light lenses, they work great for pow days, and night skiing. The blackout lenses have great vision to them and increase contrast to bright conditions. They feel great on my face and fit very well to my head. Very easy to clean and take care off, I no longer have to worry about breaking my goggles in my bag. These feel very durable and flexible. Would recommend picking up a pair for yourself!
All the views, and the styles.

Goggles need two things.
1. They need to fit well - fit well with helmets - and fit well on your face. These do both - and are killer. The wide lens allows for great eye view and peripherals.
2. Be stylish as all get out. and ARE YOU KIDDING ME? look at these things ! if you have BIGGER FACE these things are AWESOME!
Fit really well with most helmets by my account - including all berns (thats what i rock)
how in the world do I switch the lenses out?
Can these goggle be used for women? Or has any girl used them and liked the fit? I can't seem to find the women's version of these goggles, the most similar ones are about $100 more expensive...
These goggles can definitely be used for women, they are just sized for medium size faces. Most goggles are unisex, there are really only a few women's specific goggles out there, and the main difference is color and sometimes shape.
Here's a buying guide specifically for women's goggles that you might find helpful:
