The thing I love most about this little spongue is i can pull it out of a side pocket and wipe my lens from rain, snow, and anything else without scratching my lens. I'm suprised when people use their glove, get an eraser! ;)

Snow E-ruler

This is the best snow removal devise ever made. I use Smith Turbo Fan goggles with glasses or shades inside them. When I take a header in CO powder I have 4 surfaces to clean. The sponge removes the bulk fast and the chamois cleans up the rest. Great product. I lost my eight year old one on a lift, out of bounds (Sucks) at the Beav, and ordered a few extra just in case I lose another one! Sweet product.

Cool little tool

The chamois side is a bit more useful than the foam side... all in all, a nice little tool to keep your goggles clean.

I love my smith snow eraser so much I keep it in my ski pants pocket at all times. I use it almost everyday to buff off my goggles. Good stuff.

snow eraser not worth it

By:
April 30, 2007

sure it breaks the snow up on your goggles without scratching them, but it leaves streaks and water droplets all over the lenses. due your self a favor and go to autozone buy an absorber for your car and cut off little piece for skiing. your car and goggles will thank you forever. they will also both be streak free!

I agree, I've been using this snow eraser for 4 years now and it does leave water mark streaks, however, it's good to pull out and get pow off the goggles rather then using a glove. If your really worried about water streaks that go away in 30 seconds of skiing, then go for the absorber car shammy type cloth. Your just paying for the Smith name on this snow eraser... but thats fine with me!

The Snow Eraser makes a great gift and does a decent job. I found the leathery side to be a lot more useful than the sponge side.

Have only needed to use it once so far, but it seemed to suck up the moisture and leave my goggles dry and fog free.

works ok

Did ok with the fog issues or small amounts of moisture. If you take a digger and need something to absorb moisture I still recommend having a larger cloth to help out. Size is great for inside pocket for on piste days.

Might as well bring it

This little eraser is nice to have on snowy days. It generally gets most of the snow off your goggles. Sometimes it leaves streaks on your lens, but it is never a big problem. The biggest problem I have is getting it out of my pocket with gloves on. It is pretty small and can be hard to grasp sometimes with gloves. Once you get it, it is easy to wipe your lenses free. And it is so small, why not have it?
