Smith Skullcandy Single Shot Snap Fit Audio Kit - 2009 BCS
Available Colors / Styles
Wrap the Smith Skullcandy Single Shot Snap Fit Audio Kit around your ear-holes and ski to the beat of your own drum. The Single Shot works with Smith’s Variant, Maze, Intrigue, Premise, and Venue Helmets. The inline volume control gives you the power to instantly drown out the gaper on the chairlift who’s asking you about what time of year the deer turn into elk , and the standard audio jack will work with your iPod, cd player, or even your dinosaur cassette walkman.
Bottom Line: Just your skis, you, and the music.
Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

This setup worked perfectly for me (I have a blackberry). The button muted the music and also switched between music and phone call when one was coming in. Only 2 drawbacks, and I suspect that both are Blackberry related: 1) the only indication I get when a call is coming in is that the music stops playing; 2) the button on the microphone doesn't hang up the call, just mutes it. You need to hang up using the phone.

It worked fine for playing music, but the function button would only mute the music. If the phone rang, you could only hear the person on the other line, but they can't hear you. The reason is because the jack included is for music only, not for mic.

Thanks for the info - got a question though... what about the singleshot setup and your iphone didn't work? Did music play via the ipod app? Were you not able to switch to phone calls?
Good as is, great with Zst's mod

Paired this with the Smith Variant and am very happy with the results. Would have given it 5 stars but really had to us zst's Griffin solution below to get the solution I was looking for. Plugs into my blackberry, and works for music and phone calls (and toggles well from music to phone call...see my comments below for more on this). The sound quality and loudness were fine for me (I'm not exactly an audiophile). As an added bonus, if I turn it up loud enough everyone on the chairlift gets to listen. Party.

How did you get the kit into the variant? I'm literally struggling with it, they don't seem to match up
thank you!
Change me.

So here's the deal. I struggled trying to figure out how to get the iPhone to work with the single shot and the twin tip. No luck whatsoever! I even more...
