Slightly smaller aviators.

You love the style of Smith's original Serpico aviators, but every time you've tried them on, they look like a welding helmet on your small face. Smith took its originals and reduced the size, and voilà—the Serpico Slim Sunglasses. Medium-fit metal frames, glare-cutting polarized lenses, crystal-clear carbonic lenses, and adjustable nose pads mean you can sport aviators without shopping in the kid-sunglasses section.

Great glasses for the price!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size

I did not know what expect when I bought these glasses. But I figured might as well they were on sale for 70 bucks. When I got them I was surprised how well they fitted and how durable they seem. I would have paid the full price knowing how good they are!

These fit nice for a narrow face

These fit nice for a narrow face

The only drawback so far is Smith only sends you a soft case and I'm afraid they will not hold up to my abuse. FYI, the wife's glasses are a different brand.

This is a textbook addiction

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs small

So this is the second post I've done on these, because I just got my second pair. And I love them. But as any addict will tell you, I thought the second time was going to be different. It took less than 24 hours for the hinges to get loose again. But I'll keep wearing them because they look great and fit better than any other sunglass I've owned.

Someone please prepare for the intervention.

guaranteed lens scratch in every pair!

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I love these glasses! the way they look, the way they feel, and the way they make me feel...but there is one HUGE problem with them: the way they fold.

It seems that Smith should have figured out by now that when you fold up a pair of glasses that the end of the arms shouldn't touch the lens, but this is at least the 3rd pair of Smith sunglasses that I have had where they always end up with scuffed scratches where the arms scratch on the lenses. When I first bought them, I saw this coming and actually stored them with chums on the end of them. That's a lot of extra work for someone who doesn't wear chums! So when is Smith going to figure it out, or replace lenses??

Smith. Serpico. Slim. Sexy.

If you have a smaller face and want to get hit on by so many cougars that you have to call animal control - this pair of sunglasses is where it's at.

Timeless aviator style with a great wrap around frame eliminates the sunlight that usually sneaks in from the side. Great lines all around will make you want to wear these even when the sun goes down.

Relatively durable, with the quality polarized lenses you'd expect from Smith.

Like some of the reviews below, I have had to tighten the hinges, so keep an eye on the screw, if it gets loose you don't want to lose the lense.

Smith. Serpico. Slim. Sexy.

Great glasses, hinges need some work

As most other people here said, if you don't like wearing a windshield on your face these are great. I will say I have heard a number of problems with the hinges, and I have been experiencing the same thing. I have owned mine for about 1 year, but within 2 months the screws in the hinges needed to be tightened, and have been getting lose frequently ever since. It could be that I over tightened them when fixing them initially, so I will take some of the blame. I still wear them daily, but every week or so I adjust the hinges.

    Great Glasses

Great glasses for a narrow face. Superior fit, superior clarity, and superior style. What else is there to say?

      Smith Serpico Sassy Shades

I definitely feel cooler when I am wearing my Smith Serpico sunglasses. I have a smaller face and really like the Slim model. After about 2 months of owning them, the lens popped out. I sent them back to Smith and had a new pair in my mailbox in less than a week. I was very impressed. Love, love, love these shades!

        Great for small faces

I really liked the Serpico sunglasses, but they were way too big for my fairly narrow face. These ones fit like a glove, the glass is seriously nice, and the frames are plenty tough to live for years in my world.

          Gold/Grey Slims

          Gold/Grey Slims

I have a small head with a semi-rounded face for anyone that wants to know about fit. They also wrap around a little for a more custom fit...they're rad.

          Great for small faces

Serpico Slim’s are great for small faces. They fit as well as any other frames for a small face. They look good and the lens quality is good. My only knock is the screws tighten when I open and close the glasses. It's becoming very difficult to even open/close the frame. The screw is so small that I can't adjust it without going to a glasses store and purchasing a tiny screw driver.

            Carbon Copies

An exact scaled down copy of the Serpico, thus if your face is smaller this is the ticket. Nice Carbonic lenses means they are polarized which adds clarity on snow and iced roads, plus you can see the trout under water with these babies.

              Adjustable Silicone Nose Pads

              look great, but fell apart

i love look and fit of these shades! I have a pretty small face and they fit perfectly. The only problem is that the arms seemed to loosen up really quickly and one of the screws fell out after wearing them for only 2 weeks. And now i lost them, so returning for a new pair isn't an option. i'm debating whether to reorder another pair despite the fact that they came apart so quickly. i actually bought these as a replacement for an older version of the Smith aviators which i had for a couple of years until they fell apart too, right where the screw is on the side.....

                Lookin Good

Got these for my wife. She has a narrow face and these look great on her.....if I must say so myself. If the regular Serpico is too big, this is the perfect sunglass. Polarized too!!
