The Smith Prospect Polarized Sunglasses shell out simple, classic style, but they're more than just pretty. Durable lenses and a tough frame team up with big-time comfort.

  • Evolve technology uses renewable materials to create a durable, environmentally friendly frame
  • Carbonic TLT lenses are extremely impact resistant and optically corrected for a clear view and worry-free wear
  • Polarized lenses block horizontal glare so the sun reflecting off of water, snow, or the hood of your car won’t mess with your view

Snug fit, great lenses

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These do fit nice and snug - with great contact points on the temples and nose. Lens are super clear with great light control.

Meh

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I lost a pair of Costas I'd had for years, and decided to try something a little less costly...picked these up for a song on SAC. Not impressed. I love the styley blue frames, but the build quality feels really cheap adn insubstantial. My main issue though...they apparently scratch very easily. I treat sunglasses pretty well. Had those Costas for 5+ years with minimal to no scratching. I've treated these Smiths exactly the same (I actually just mostly wear them in the car and for casual use) and they are badly scratched after only six months or so of wear. Perhaps it's just bad luck on my part, but the lenses seem pretty shady (oh yeah...pun intended). I'll be looking for another pair of Costas now.

get em.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I have been using these all summer. I like them a lot. Fit well and stay put on my face during all activities. Good fit for a smaller face but would be fine for medium as well. If you have a big head they will be a bit small.

Good buy

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

These are a nice pair of sunglasses. They are a smaller fit. If you are medium/large they will not fit you. Small to small/medium heads they should be fine. They feel very light on your face and there is a bit of soft rubber where they rest on your nose which adds to the feel.

Quality Shades

Good pair of shades with nice frames. Definitely fits better for those with small-to-smallish/medium domes. Polarization(right amount) is nice of course, but a little snug.. not quite enough to make me return them though! They work well driving to the j-o-b or (more enjoyably) on the lakes with my kayak. Worth the investment if you get the fit right.

small faces

I liked the style, but they are made for small faces. Bummer for my dome, which I gather is large for a female and medium for unisex sizing.

Solid Shades

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These glasses are durable as hell! Haven't had any issues with fogging while touring the Wasatch, and have even used them in place of goggles for days when I'm doing short laps without much wind - the polarization is effective and they block out air nicely. They fit pretty snug on my face, so if you have a medium to smallish head these will fit well.

Finally Smith!

Smith finally put out some decent frames for people in their 30's. The porn, retro, too cool for school frames were really starting to tick me off and I thought I was going to have to switch brands until this style came out. These feel great, look great, and seem to be super durable. If you liked the older style Smith frames you're going to love these!! Style and features have been updated and the quality is still there. Nice Job Smith!
