Sleek and tapered for the techy minimalist.

Slip on the Smith Parallel Sunglasses for UV coverage that doesn’t cover your whole face. These subtle shades feature Smith’s durable Carbonic TLT lenses for crystal-clear, distortion-free vision. excellent

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these sunglasses for cycling and they've been great. Frames are comfortable with no pressure points or sore spots after 4+ hours of riding, while at the same time being very secure on my face. frames don't slide down even in a full sweat. I've used the various lenses in daytime, nighttime and medium light (early morning, heavy overcast, etc)settings and have found the 3 sets of lenses provided will accommodate any type of lighting scenario - no need to buy incremental lenses unless you like a particular color. swapping out lenses is easy now, although the first couple of times while the the frame is still relatively stiff it can seem like you're applying a lot of force to the lenses. only oversight from Smith is that the sunglasses, which come in a nice zip up case and a holding sleeve for all your lenses, don't come with a cleaning cloth. when you swap out the lenses, you're left with fingerprints all over the place.

The product description wasn't clear to me as to which lenses are included, so i had to contact BC. for my sunglasses, the "Crystal Poppy/Platinum/Ignitor-Clear", that means they're crystal poppy colored frame, and come with i) platinum, ii) ignitor, and iii) clear lenses. Hard to tell with the "/" and "-" whether these are crystal poppy/platinum/ignitor frames with clear lenses or what.

Great pair of sunglasses

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

If you are looking for the perfect sunglasses for biking like I was, you found them. These have been nothing but great. Easy to interchange the lenses and so convenient to have multiple lenses. Two thumbs up.

great sport sunglasses!

Love my new sunglasses! I use them for cycling, and they've held up extremely well during some very sweaty century rides. I love that they provide great coverage without overwhelming my face.

what do you use the different lenses for?

Nick,

You can use the different lenses for different times of the day, weather, and or if your going to ride in a wooded area and would like less protection

oddly enough, the pink or yellow lenses (depending on your generation or these) are fantastic for city driving at night in the rain...I work nights and am often going against traffic so many headlights are shining at me and visibility is improved. Other than that, the same lenses are really good for skiing in flat light...

New Colors are Sweet

The new Blue and the new Pink Colors are so sweet I had to get both! These glasses fit so well and look so fresh. I love wearing these every day. The lenses are great in the sunniest conditions.
