Seamless integration
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
Love Smith for it's passion to make all thing smith seamlessly integrated. Getting replacement lenses for any of their goggle models is so easy and user friendly. I love my I/OS frames but have destroyed the lenses through use. These H/I (high intensity) Yellow lenses are used typically for overcast or nights. The Yellow acts as a filter for your eye for blue/cyan light waves so that you can see all the nooks and crannies of the slopes during low light visibility. Paring this tech with their easy snap on and off goggle technology you have the whole package. I would highly recommend smith for anyone that is looking for a bomber goggle company that makes all their stuff easy to use and pair well.
Smith lenses rule
- Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Smith is the best......bought these for a friend but I'm a die hard Smith fan.
Easy to use
These replacement lenses are awesome. They are so easy to swap out and they make the goggles look great. Being able to buy multiple lenses is a huge benefit and they make the goggle very versatile.
Love the Gold Sol X 2
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
I originally had the Red Sol X lenses, but I scratched them. I replaced them with the Gold Sol X and I love the way they look! Removing and inserting the new lenses was alot easier than I was expecting. The gold color isn't as eye-catching as the Red Sol X, but I like the subtle mirror reflection.
Sweet lenses
- Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The green mirror sol-x is a sweet looking lens with green and purple tones. Nice for sunny days, great visibility. Red sensor mirror is also really sweet looking and awesome for dark days and night riding. I love the Smith I/OS goggles, I don't feel like I'm wearing blinders.
One and done
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
Why get multiple lenses that you have to keep track of?
By getting the Photochromic lense and your set for all conditions.
LOVE This lens and love the goggles too
ios lens
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
Super rad lens. I got these in the platinum mirror color and they're great for sunny days. Quick and easy to change out.
Easy On, Easy Off
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
Clear lenses are great for low vis days or running gates at night -- not much more to say in that regard. However, the Smith I/O or I/OS lenses are durable (especially if you take advantage of the nice sleeve they provide), change in a snap, and can be done with your gloves on. For that, I'm giving five stars.
so easy to use
Done right, you can swap lenses it 15 seconds, I would recommend getting the Smith hard case so you don't accidentally damage your lenses in the backcountry backpack.
Fantastic Invention
Easy to swap
Great to find a google you like and then pick whatever lens you want or replace when messed up. Great system
Love these lenses!
So easy to change, watch the clouds roll in or clear and you can be ready to go in seconds! Sensor is awesome in low light but still useful as the day brightens up!
I can see now
I ordered the RC polarized replacement lens and they are absolutely amazing. I never knew what the big rave was about polarized lenses but boy do I now. It literally took me 2-3 runs to adjust to the amount of visibility that I had. I had never had the privilege of being able to see that kind of snow depth. The RC polarized is great for almost all conditions, they are not like photochromatic lenses. However, they do a great job of adjusting to varying conditions. I would mostly recommend these for sunny conditions but they do fine in cloudy or snowy conditions.
Sensor Mirror is awesome in flat light
I ended up getting the Sensor Mirror lens for my I/OS. Used it in The Canyons last weekend and it was fantastic in the flat light. I normally use the photochromatic lens, but while it was snowing, the Sensor Mirror definitely gave me more contrast and detail looking at the snow.

Do these replacement lenses fit the women's I/OS goggles? I really want the gold mirror lens but it doesn't seem to be an option for the women's goggles.
Yes these lenses fit the women's I/OS goggles. The Gold Mirror would be a great option to increase the versatility of your goggles for sure!

Hey Janis,
According to Smith, the Prophecy and Prodigy share the same lens. So for a replacement you can refer to the Prophecy lenses.

No, the Sensor Mirror is the one in the picture whereas the Gold Sensor Mirror is definitely a lot more gold. Check out the link below.

I HAVE THE SENSOR MIRROR LENS AND HAVE...
I HAVE THE SENSOR MIRROR LENS AND HAVE WIPED THE INSIDE OF THE GOGLES AND HAVE MARKS THAT WONT COME OFF, THEY ARE NOT SCRATCHES THEY LOOK LIKE WIPE MARKS AND I HAVE GENTLY WASHED LENS TO SEE IF ANY BETTER AND NO GOOD. I HAVE BEEN TOLD YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO WIPE INSIDE OF ANY GOGGLES AS THEY HAVE A FILM ON THEM IS THIS TRUE AND WHAT CAN I DO?
find a local shop to refinish the coating, call smith customer service to see if they will replace them, or get new ones. its just a matter of how much leg work vs how much money you want to spend.
please sir, try cough hard on inside lens and wipe with bath tissue, always use wood base products to wipe lenses. it make it shiney
Good joke, but no wood products please! A lint free cloth is the only way to properly and safely clean lenses (microfiber).
Duncan is correct, Typically the bag they send them to you in is a microfiber bag (using the inside to clean goggles is common). However, to solve your problem you will have to either buy a new lens or ask for a replacement.
