This helmet is a great buy for this price! It is the first helmet i have purchased because i am beginning to ride the park on my skis more often. This helmet provides excellent comfort, a great fit and perfect protection! I wear it every time i ski now and it has saved me from some pretty bad headaches while making me look good at the same time. I LOVE IT!!!
Good for the money

I bought this helmet because of lime color which is just great. I also like the plastic it's made of: it's silky when you touch it and matte. However it doesn't have any nice features like size fitting system or adjustable vents. The helmet is a good quality one but very simple. I also think it was designed for men, not for women, since Smith women's helmets fit much better (for me). This one was designed for a round head I think, and it's a bit loose on me. Overall, it's not a bad helmet, but you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a non-pricey helmet I think it would be a good option.
Great for the money

paid thirty dollars, definitely would recommend especially at any price close to that. Functions well in both summer and winter and pair up amazing with my smith goggles and skullcandy audio

Decent build quality. No adjustable fit.
Can be a bit snug with the ear pads for my head anyway. Average helmet.
Good all around but not what I wanted

The helmet fit true to its size and looked good. But I already have the Giro Bad Lieutenant and it was the same thing. Styrofoam core with a plastic shell. Simple and reliable but it doesn't have the new impact rated materials of higher end helmets that I was looking for. Its a good helmet but isn't as highly impact certified as others.
It'll protect your head.

It's a decent helmet, very basic. I bought it because it was the cheapest one at pro-shop after I forgot my R.E.D helmet before a trip.
PROS: good venting, goggles fit, warm (ridden -35C without a beanie underneath), ear pads are detachable, can take speakers in the ear pads. *Cheap & protects your head*
CONS: shell is huge. definitely makes you look and feel like a bobble head. no vent controls. Shell scratches easily (vs. RED i've gone through less trees with this one and it has more scratches and chips)
VERDICT: if I could do it again, I'd consider buying another Smith but probably seek out their more sculpted lines that don't emphasize a bobble head feel/look and have vent controls.

I bought this helmet back in 09' for skiing. It worked so well I ended up using it for paragliding as well. I have worn this helmet at least 4 times a week for the last 4 years. This helmet works both winter and summer. I just stopped in here to look for a new one because I would like fresh colors. Excellent helmet and I am buying again!

Just out of the box. Fits great. Goes well with my Scope Pros, minimum gaps between the frame and helmet for chill to creep in. Pretty comfy too. Huntsmen is a great colour.
Returned.

While this helmet is nice because it has a low profile, and it comes in neat colors, I had to return it. My head measures around 20 inches, and the XS was WAY too large for me,so it absolutely didn't work out.
The "Red Neon" is also much more red than pink in the pictured image, which was also a disappointment. Going to stick with Women's specific helmets from now on because I do have such a small head.
Awesome

Bought specifically because it said it's dual use for winter and summer. The padding combos are easy to switch out for skateboarding in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. I'm just a casual skater/boarder so for periodic use it will work perfect for me. More of a snow helmet than a skate helmet but overall very satisfied.
Solid fit

I have skied in this helmet the past two seasons and love how comfortable and stylish it is. I wear Smith I/O goggles with it and love the fit.

Can this helmet be used for wakeboarding? I snowboard too but wakeboard more often, wanting to find out if this helmet would work for both. Is the material a good one for getting wet?

Not a good wake helmet...check out bern helmets...they are the best multi-sport helmets in the buisness.
I recomend the Watts(http://www.bernunlimited.com/Products/Helmets/Watts?helmetType=Snow)
or the Macon (http://www.bernunlimited.com/Products/Helmets/Macon?helmetType=Snow)
Both of these helmets have a winter liner that can be removed for summer use

Backcountry's service was second to none.
The Skullcandy audio system was awesome, so much so, I didn't want to take the helmet off.
All in all, great helmet, good fit, good venting, and good goggle fit.
