Gibson. ... That guy keeps it real.

For everyone who enjoys a good mustache or at least a well-manicured mane of chest hair flying free underneath their Hawaiian shirt, allow us to present the Smith Gibson Sunglasses with polarized lenses. A new spin on classic, Havanna-style frames, the Gibson brings the phrase, "large and in charge" to mind. Shortly after sliding on these large-coverage shades, we immediately felt the urge to buy a vintage Italian sports car and investigate crime too. Weird, no?

    The Gibson of Sunglasses

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:True to size

These are great, durable and stylish sunglasses. I've had people on the street stop me to try them on. I've had them for over a year now and haven't lost them. So, that means I truly do like them. The lenses have light scratches now. But I really don't take of care my sunglasses very well. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that I think the polarization could be better. Overall great sunglasses for the price.

    The Gibson of Sunglasses

    Durable and stylish

I love the Gibsons, its a classic profile backed up with great lenses and a bombproof frame. My only complaint is that the hinges on these aren't as robust as some other Smith glasses, and that means you'll need to whip out a micro-screwdriver every few weeks to tighten them down. Not a big deal really, but if the hinges are loose, they can fly off of your head.

      Very nice

These are awesome shades use them for everything from split boarding to just cruising the streets . Love the look, they fit really well. The only complaint is the screw doesn't stay tight on the arms!onther then that killer shades

      I dig em

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Stylish... AND durable. I've put my pair of Gibson's through the wringer for sure. . . as in=thrown in ski backpack fast without a case . . . then I've fallen with them floating in my pack: They've been pretty smashed and they're still kickin'.... I'm impressed. They end up being my "if I only take one pair of sunglasses" type of shades. . . They do hold up and they'll work for ski-touring/ give you great coverage & sun protection, but then look sweet for round-town . Dig em

So Awesome had to get 2 pairs

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

These have an awesome shape to them and fit well. Super light! I got the Red/ black frames - love the lens color on those and the Matt black/ gray. The polarized lens are pretty good too.I would say the face size could be a medium/ large. I tend to go for large but these worked well.

      Pretty Great

These are pretty sweet glasses- they fit really well and the optics are really high end-all colors in the outdoors look super great. My only gripes are that there isn't a rubber nose pad, and that the arms feel a bit cheap and plasticky. However this does help them be very light.

Overall a great lens that you can take into the woods, but at the same time not designed for intense outdoor activities.

        Rad Shades

        • Familiarity:I've used it several times

These glasses are by far my favorite. The polarized lens is ideal. I use these for every occasion so pretty much every day. The only issue is the screws holding in the arms of the lens frequently comes loose but it's a quick fix. Loved these so much I got a pair to give as a gift! Would def. recommend these!

These are my favorite Smith shades yet. Besides being super stylie they function super well. From climbing to skinning up in Turnagain pass these shades do it all, when it comes to protecting your eyes that is.

        Stylish and Optical

Optically superior to anything out there. Seriously. Your eyes will experience a crispness of color and light that will make you an instant convert to the cult of Smith - I like these so much that I am going to get another pair in the green for me. Got these as a present for the BF and man he looks hardcore in them - that is when I have not covertly borrowed them... :) and yes, that is bacon.

          Stylish and Optical

          Phenomenal optics

          • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Phenomenal optics (as usual for Smith), great look, super cool shades, but the large frames pressed into the sides of my nose. I think a pair of grips/pads on the nose bridge would lift them up a bit off my face and solve the problem (I don't have a wide nose, either, so...). I sent them back and went with a pair of Oakley Dispatch IIs. Five-star shades if you like the look and can pull it off. It's always tough buying shades online...

Hi, I?m buying the Smith Gibson on line...

Hi, I´m buying the Smith Gibson on line and need to know the measures of the glass. The measures on line don´t include the height of the lense. Can anyone measure for me?
