Featuring side-releasing lenses, the Smith District Polarized Sunglasses promise superior eye protection and easy lens changes. Its sleek and subtle design allows comfortable wear in the city or on the trails. The District comes with three sets of interchangeable lenses – one set is polarized. Anytime you have a flat surface reflecting sun rays such as snow, water, your windshield, even sand or pavement, a polarized lens is what you want protecting your eyes since it reduces the glare. The District fits a medium face best.

Bottom Line: The best interchangeable lens series just got better.

Great Fit and Optics

I bought these sunglasses based on other reviews and conversations with friends who own these. I like the way the lens sets in place with a click. If there is one thing I don't like it is the fact that you have to smug up the lens to pull it out. I typically use these for driving my car and mt. biking. This makes my third pair of smith polarized sliders in the past 6 years. You could say I've becoming a very loyal Smith customer.

bad fit

These things constantly fall off my face, and I have a huge head, size 7-3/8. Most glasses are too tight on me. I wouldn't recommend.

A feather that fits like a glove

The District is what I wear when the warning is all day. These glasses are so light and have such a great fit, you almost forget they’re on your head. I definitely recommend the District’s to anyone looking for style and comfort.

Great sunglasses

These sunglasses have it all. They are light, comfortable, stylish, protect your eyes, and provide you with a bunch of alternatives with their interchangeable lenses. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I got the graphite with sienna brown polarized lenses.

Don't bother - buy the District II

By:

Don't bother buying the Smith Slider...the frames aren't particularly well designed and some of the lenses (especially if you plan on buying replacements) fall out of the lenses. Smith Sports has actually started producing a similar frame/lense combo, the District Slider II, which fits much better and holds the lenses better. Luckily (for me, at least), Smith Sports has the best customer service department imaginable and they were willing to replace the District kit with the District II kit for me (apparently this was a common complaint - this the creation of the District II in the first place). Kudos to Smith Sports for acknowleding the problem with the District and solving the problem.

Highly Recommend District II's

By:

I recently lost a pair of Smith District II's with the Brown Sienna polarized lens. I have just finished ordering another pair. If you like having light blocked from coming around the perimeter of your sunglasses combined with good polarization and a comfortable fit - buy these sunglasses!
